Well today I have decided:
- Budgets are near on impossible to stick to rigidly when christmas spirit is in the air
- also zero chance of sticking to it whilst ds1 is home as he has already eaten me half out of house & home
- so i therefore lay down my (virtual) flag and surrender. I WILL go over on the food budget.
- I will be in on all the important ones though, bills will be paid, debts paid and we have rice. Plenty of rice. SO worst comes to worst I shall Google rice recipes and be saved over xmas
- I still have no word on tenant. BUT this is kind of a good lesson. I have managed to not take any money out of savings' pots yet and still have maybe £30 to my name :T ok this won't last long lol :rotfl: but I am trying to be positive here.......:p
- I've also decided to change doctors surgeries as the dr's i'm currently with give me a small coronary every time i call up- 10 million times to get through, and then be told -'no appointments' -as has happened to me every day for the last !!!!! week!
- avoid bad weather
- early dinner
- visit coca-cola truck :j:j:j:j:j (tres excited about this!)
- washing/drying/cleaning -ya know the same old, same old!
Off to catch up on diaries and get dressed :rotfl: CiaoMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Hi DFW
Wow busy day yesterday for you, hope DS s ok xx0 -
I totally agree about budgets and christmas. I have now got everything other than food but hoping not to buy too much of that! Where is the coke truck going to be?Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

I agree, its best efforts at this time of year.
damage limitation!!
We can be back to it in January!Trying to shift that debt!0 -
 wow it's cold today
I refuse to put the heating on though. It's timed to come on at lunch for a few hours so that will have to do
DD is having her nursery party today for christmas, got rid of two more wrapped pressies to the teachers. Still have bundles upstairs!! I really need to send my sisters as i won't see her before xmas but i've a feeling it will cost me more to send than it was to buy all the stuff so not sure what to do:(!
Have tidied the garden today. The winds were blowing everything around last night so it looked like a right mess  so all recycling picked up and bagged. 4 bags of broken toys & other bits to go out on bin day:T :Tthis was the dump lot but as i said dh won't do it. even if it means tripping over it every day to get out the back door. He's too busy, meh!
Am debating the christmas market tonight and the castle as it's free entry. But with around £20 to my name i'm thinking NOTno word on tenant. No word on letting agent
booooooooo that's £500 missing from budget. Not impressed. I had planned to go to the market months ago with friends and now am gonna have to make excuses to stay in as it will cost more than nothing and I don't want to spend my last twenty quid in case of emergencys. Petrol tank is also empty. so have no car to use. No money. oh and car is making dodgy noises when i turn the steering wheel
pah. carp. not impressed. wanna go back to bed!

It really is pants not having money when everyone around us is doing festive fun things. I feel so mean saying no to them all of the time - they are not worried and totally understand. I sent my mums xmas pressies to USA and it cost more to send than to buy. Must try to find light weight bits for next year!
I hope your tennants sort them selves out. I think i would be really impatient and would be ringing agency every day to find out why and get updates - thats what you pay them for after allMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19
