Sorry to hear you're feeling yuck Flutterby, that's rubbish, maybe its something simple like some fluid in your ear or something :) Glad the date went well again, hope you found my gift useful ;)

I think I saw Adelight on FB, she is a delight, think I'll put her in my pocket and keep her there to look after, she's like a cute wee china dolly :)

Gintot, Bitsy's instructions were pretty much dead-on, let us know if you need any more help!

Fajitas for dinner tonight. OH's cough is getting worse, but I found my sympathy this morning in the laundry basket, so I am being nice about it - for now!!

Hope your bum's OK now BBird ;)

Just back for a quick update about my daughter.Well A and E we were in and out in little over 30 mins, however the wait in x-ray and then the wait for plaster room altogether was nearly 4 hours:eek:.She has a fractured wrist, I've heard it all today from her " how am i gonna straighten my hair." and the other one is "my coat wont fit over my caste " so my sister kindly took us into the town , parked as near to peacocks as she could and took her to get a new coat that her caste will fit under as her treat.I took salvage in her nice warm car and she even bought me back a lovely creamy hot chocolate from costa. So all in it wasnt to bad I suppose.;)

Thank you so much for your kind words.

    Good Morning all :)

At last have some good news to report after the mixed week we`ve had. My husbands neice gave birth to a baby girl this morning :j. Mother and baby are well.
This is so bitter/sweet because his nephew and his partner lost twin girls on Sunday. They died in the womb. I can only imagine how they must be feeling :(

Lovely news about your neice and her baby. Situation brings back memories for me - my brother's daughter ( the first girl in her generation as the rest of us had all had boys - 5 at that stage!) was born just two days before our son died. I always felt that a lot of the joy at her birth was taken away - but actually she did provide a lovely moment of new life which probably helped the whole family to cope a little bit better. I hope it turns out that way for all of you as well - and I pray for your nephew and his partner in their grief as well. So hard for them.

  • That was a lovely post Beemuzed. I send my good wishes to imataloss' family too.

Halight I am taking him to the doc tomorrow, after what happened to my sister's friend last year, I am not taking any chances. :D I fear that although you're too old for Adelight, you're too young for me :p But I like my totty to at least appear available ;)

Uolypool, hurrah for aunties :) Sorry its broken, but at least your electricity bill will be down if the straighteners aren't on 24/7 :rotfl:

Ha I never thought of that. She has lovely curly hair but spends ages every day making it poker straight.Perhaps she will see that curls are the way to wear the hair now as well as having an extra 45 mins in bed each morning;)

So hard the loss of one child and the birth of another,
    Lifes hard and very unfair.
Our own twins were a hard PG as twin one was getting more blood past too her than twin two. In twin two the blood flow would stop for a dew moments then start again. This is why twin two was born at 2lb 8oz. and twin one was born at 3lb 3oz.
We were haveing scans every two days for most of the PG. My wife was taken in 3 times as they were thinging of delivering them. We went in at 25 weeks were she stayed 1 week and 3 days we then were back in at just over 27 weeks were she was in for a couple of days. Then in again at 29 weeks were she stoped a couple of days again. And then in at 30 weeks were they did the c-secshion and got them out. The blood flow to twin two was not only stopping for a few secs it had started to flow back before it started to flow forward again. This is very danaus to both babies. At this point there was nothing other to do than get them out. At our local neo natal there were not enough incerbaters, as we need two. The only place we could get two togther was liver pool:eek: well over a hundrad miles away:eek: Anyway they ook my wife and the FIL drove me up. We stayed there for 5 days before we got two incerbaters at out local.

Life hard it can get very stresfull, we all deal with things in our own way.
We should be thankfull of every new life that comes into the world. We should also let our love for the babies and childern that pass over shine! Let it shine like a bright light in the night.

Imataloss - what lovely news for your DH's niece, while such sad news about his nephew.
Beemuzed - I see that jackieg has posted what i was just about to say. I'm so sorry that you had to go through such a difficult time as well. Your post is so thoughtful.
Redruby -how have things gone today?
Halight - you continue to be such a delight!!
Been for a lovely seaside walk which is just what DH and I needed, along with doggies. It was good for him to get some fresh air as he's been cooped up at work all day. The legs have been walked off these dogs today - 4 walks so far - no wonder they're sleeping now.
Off for a put-together tea including something from B1rdseye - how os is that?:p
