I haven't been in a McD's, BK or KFC in over 15 years so i have absolutely no problem with the service in any of them :P

They could serve hammered rats a-r-s-e on mouldy buns and it wouldn't bother me in the slightest... Altho that's probably a step up from the mass produced crap they do serve TBH...

    Oh dear an anti-McDonalds snob.

I'm an anti McDonalds snob and proud of it, too. I'm anti KFC, anti all those sorts of places. I refuse to even accompany someone I'm with into one of them. As for buying their food/drink. I'd not so much as purchase a bottle of water in a KFC, I'm not funding their barbaric business practices.

When you walk past the big KFC window and see people hunched over buckets ripping at greasy what one could not even really call chicken, it all seems so primitive. Don't get me wrong there was a time I ate in such establishments, until my good sense and morals matured.

    Yes. Its an absolute disgrace.

First up I tried to ring and reserve a table, but the man on the other end of the phone said I couldn't do that and I'd just have to turn up! Shocking! I tried it and luckily they had a table available for me so - next problem, there was no one at the door to direct me to a table (I wanted a booth) so after waiting for a few minutes tapping my winkle pickers in impatience I had to give in and just go and find my booth myself! Luckily there was one available so I went to sit in it and would you believe it! Some rascal had left the detritus of their meal on the seat and the waiting staff had yet to clear it up! Astounding really isn't it? I gestured in some annoyance to the waiting staff but was roundly ignored, so I had no option but to get out one of my gloves and brush the offending items onto the floor - horrific!

When I had finally seated myself, imagine my horror - no menus! How am I to choose my meal! And the waiter had still not made his/her presence known so I had to wait. And wait. And no one came! Ultimately after 20 minutes I was forced to go to some manner of serving counter in the corner and catch the eyes of the scallywags behind it - I gave them the angriest piece of my mind about the service in this establishment, but would you believe it, the fellow simply stared at me blankly - almost as if English was not his first language! I mean I was astounded, a man of such low intellect obtaining gainful employment.

Eventually I managed to make it clear that I wished to order a melon ball starter, followed by seared yellowfin tuna in a balsamic lemongrass jus, followed by a piece of Pavlova - as it turned out the oik behind the counter informed that I must purchase some manner of chicken based edible, I mean really! Chicken! I'm not foreign, why would I want chicken. When he told me it was cooked with a secret recipe of herbs and spices, invented by some colonel I felt a little mroe at ease (the army are known for their quality spices). I ended up ordering some manner of 'ZINGER' chicken dish, so I returned to my booth to await the staff - after another 20 minutes, the gentleman who had been gesticulating from behind the serving counter finally came over and very nearly threw a dismal plastic tray littered with carboard boxes and a rather offensive smell - I mean the shock! Upon inspection this turned out to be my meal, so I strode in disgust to the counter to request some cutlery - would you credit it, I was expected to eat with my hands!

Well. I got quite irate and let my vexation be known. The policeman who asked me to leave was very pleasant though.

    I love this!

Go to your local farm shop for proper burgers and meat which is not pumped up with water.

I have take out delivered, on occasion, from one Chinese restaurant and only the vegetarian options. My mother is a chef of many years in an award winning restaurant and I guess I hold the same high standards that she expects from eating out. In my locale there are only 3 establishments that I'll eat in (one being a Chinese restaurant and one being Greek/British) and the third of them is where my Mum works (A mostly Italian menu)

I'm not saying I'm better than someone who eats in KFC, I just can't understand why, with it being so widely known how such places source meat etc, would put that stuff in their own or their children's mouths. When I think back to a time when I WOULD buy food in say KFC or McDonalds, it makes me feel a bit ill to think of what I was ingesting.

I apologise if my views cause any offence, but I shall not be changing them.
