People are going to eat whatever they like,if one person dislikes fast food outlets there are fifty others who like them its all about freedom of choice.
Myself im not averse to having fast food, however this is seen as a treat rather than the norm,i agree that you can sometimes cook a more balanced meal cheaper.....however a little of what is bad for you from time to time can be good.
People should not be berated just because they occasionally like fast food, and i refuse to beleive that people who state they never eat fast food be it from a fast food outlet or a ready meal maybe stretching the truth a little, maybe!
I had a lovely spaggetti bolognaise last night, and yes the sauce came out of a jar,i dont feel bad for that it was quick,it was easy, and good grief it was tasty.I could have had a take out from a restaurant and it would have cost five times the price, and by the time it arrived, our home made one would have been prepared, eaten and we would have washed up aswell.
Totally agree with you
Who has the right to say you cannot eat this, Dont buy that Etc?
If you want to eat a Mickey D, or a KFC do it, it is your life, as long as you dont live on them 24/7, it wont do you much harm.
FGS, some people on here love looking down their noses at other peoples opinions, what makes you better?
Have you had a nice dinner today? what was it Roast chicken? ( 2 for £7) from asda?( battery fed) Roasties ( sprayed with pesticides) or Aunt Bessies ( filled with additives) and cooked in Full fat?
Or are you the toffy nosed type, who wont be seen dead eating a chicken from a supermarket? Is Foie Gras more your type?
Unless you raise all your meat requirements yourself and grow all your veggies and condiments yourself, you do not and never will know how they were treated/cared for before you buy it.
Get a life people and stop looking down your noses at other people. It is not a pretty look !;)0 -
I personally think that Macdonalds has changed a lot over the past few years.
They have revamped their menus and it is easily possibly to eat healthly in Macdonalds nowadays.
They have over the past few years come under a hell of a lot of critisism, but despite this they seem to have adapted to a lot of the changes called upon them.
It doesn't seem to have done their business bad either, I believe Macdonalds were one of a few companies who actually didn't do bad under the recession.
I would say that if you asked people who really know what they are on about business, image and brand wise, they would say that Macdonalds over the past few years have done remarkably well, consider the huge amount of bad press they were suffering particularly just a few years ago.0 -
Obviously. The clues was where I said: "I find mcdonalds ...".
The fact remains that mcdonalds use NaCl in their bread together with preservatives and all their ketchups are riddled with E numbers. Their chips are saturated with large quantities of fat.
NaCl is salt. Bread is often made with salt.0 -

Rather a toff than one of the the chavvy types you see queuing up in KFC for their bucket of chicken and refried beans and spilling it all over the floor, dumping their greasy boxes all over the streets.
As I vegetarian I don't need to worry that I'm eating a battery farm chicken as I don't eat chicken at all.
Like I said before I do look down my nose at people who happily stuff their face with cruelty meat just because all the chemicals put in it makes it cheap and supposedly tasty.
I think the fact people are being so defensive over KFC of all things, just goes to show the decline in peoples attitudes towards food. This post was brought to you from the vortex of a human psyche, it was approved by my poor judgement. :T0 -

So you are saying that everyone who eats KFC, McD, Burgerking etc are Chavs?
With a holy than though attitude like you have I am surprised that you can even see them doing it, with your head shoved so far up somewhere you have to open your mouth to see.
Some people like to eat fast food, some people like to eat Mung bean casserole, with aduki bean rissoles, the choice is theirs and only their's to make. What makes one better than the other? Pesticides and other nasty things are used in our agricultural industry, some may make your hair stand on end if you knew what they used. Organic farming uses the excrement of the cattle, pigs etc for it's fertilizer. Are Animals only sh*t machines for our farmers? With the phosphates and excrement, going into our water courses, time will only tell when the first 2 headed baby is born.
Hey , there is a place and product for everyone to buy what they like in this world. If people want to eat fast food let them, they are not doing you any harm, so why do you take such offense by it?
I buy my meat from a farm shop near me, I see the cattle in the fields, they are well cared for, the family are lovely and they take care in how they look after their animals. We go to the supermarket and buy the chickens for 2 for £7, the dog eats them, we eat free range, as I feel that the taste is better. There is no diffference in fresh veg whether it is organic or non organic as far as I can see, apart from a bit of muck on them.
Eating meat is a choice, has been since mankind was created, and I will be dammed if a toffy nose veggie is going to make accusations over what other people want to eat, when it has absolutely nothing to do with them.0 -
Are people still going in there to eat their halal meat? its all crap! The opposite of what you know...is also true0

It is utterly hilarious to me that people are so angry about some peoples negative view of KFC and animals not being treated humanely.
Just goes to should how incredibly ignorant some folk are.
But I like I said before, if my views make me a "toff" then I wear the tag with pride.

You really are an offensive tw*t
I just get rather bored with stupid people who use a perfectly harmless flavouring to ignorantly bash an entire cuisine in the course of obsessively defending mcdonalds.
You would be one of those people. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

I see it as a problem brought about by overpopulation and the need for a level of productivity that is higher than a land area can support. That's not my fault.
Mind you I'm not 'angry' about peoples views, I just disagree with them, there's a difference.
BTW I buy free range, even my dogs get free range carcusses and lamb ribs. I do eat at KFC every so often though (once every 6 months or so).Trev. Having an out-of-money experience!
C'MON! Let's get this debt sorted!!0
