  • Recently I went into a Subway, stood there for 5 minutes and waited for staff to appear, none did so I walked out.
I walked down the road to the KFC and as soon as I walked in the door I was greeted with 'Good evening'. The food was hot and tasty and cheap. I was served quickly by a polite gentleman. I would eat there again quite happily.
The best portion of your life will be the small, nameless moments you spend smiling with someone who matters to you.

what a load of rubbish. you get what you pay for. Go to an expensive restaurant where the staff are well trained you expect a good level of service. At KFC you expect cheap food and at best average service.

Was there any reason to post 3 times ? Ever heard of multi quote ?

but as you cannot delete posts once I'd made the mistake it was too late. shrug.gif

Cant delete posts ? :rotfl:Me thinks you may have worn out the "equipment" inside your head....posts can be deleted:rotfl:

I'm sorry if you feel that reading the extra posts has in some way worn out your equipment but would point out that your rather pointless intervention now means that everyone else has four unnecessary posts to read rather than two. rolleyes.gif

Im glad you referred to your posts as "unnecessary"...I thought the same but didnt want to upset you or hurt your feelings by telling you !!!

Want to know another wonderful feature this site offers as well as the ingenious idea of being able to delete posts ? (:rotfl:).....you can actually put other users on ignore so you no longer have to read their un-necessary posts !

Why do people go and eat that over priced, processed, total crap?

That goes for all the "big" name High Street takeaway's.

If consumer's knew what they were actually eating, they would not touch it with a barge pole.

    Because they like the taste?

Have you thought they might know what's in it, and still choose to eat it?

I never realised that the level of service you receive is dependent on how much money you were spending !

    Really?

So you expect the same level of service at Burger King as you get at the Savoy Grill?

To be fair I broke the habit of a lifetime today and hunger drove me into a mcdonalds in Slough.

Only planned to pop to the loo and buy a coffee for the road but bloke behind till was brilliant and decided to stay for lunch.

Food was still poor but the one thing that always impresses me at mcdonalds is they have a plan and a process and bearing in mind the raw material (in terms of people) they have to work with (both employees and customers) they are very efficient.

If only the burgers were better......

    Try Burger King.

Their burgers are far superior. (Unless McDeaths have changed their burger preperation considerably in the last few years - which I doubt.)

I agree aheaton. I find it close on impossible to believe people when they say that they never ever eat take away foods or processed ready meals.

I would bet that they dont stand and prepare their meals every night from scratch using fresh products!

We all eat junk at one time or another.

Both BK and McD's have some of the highest prep standards, and both slice up delicious cows, so doubt there's a huge amount in it..

anyone had any problems with kfc service

    Yes!

I went to one in Swindon outskirts (I was a KFC virgin - I generally don't eat fast food), and couldn't understand what the assistant was asking me! I presumed they were asking "what drink?", so kept saying "Fanta".

Thankfully my OH (a KFC regular) came to my rescue and translated "coleslaw, beans, or cob" for me.

Oddly, we were the only English speaking people in the "restaurant". It was like being abroad!

(I did quite enjoy my spicy zinger burger though :p)
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Well, if you actually try them both there's no room for doubt.

    They are very different.

That's why some people will only eat BK and some McDeaths.

(Although I agree there's probably not much difference in the actual beefburger.)
