I have no idea really, i do know its processed differently so takes longer for the hungry baby milk to break down or whatever. Im not qualified in anyway, i just thought i would pass on what had been passed onto me by a health profSingleMumOf2 wrote: »but isnt stage 1 milk the same? just less whey are something else? thought it might be better on his tum.

i know hunni ty. i read on a parenting site that someone had phoned aptimal and asked them the difference. and they just said same ingridients just whey and something else are bigger. they asked the difference between brands and were told they are all the same apart from the amounts of ingridients.
i just want a happy baby
will be trying the karvol plug in tonight. if works after 2 nights to help him breathe i will buy some refills for it. * Mummy to my 2 gorgeous and amazing boys *0 -
ah sweetheart. Its so frustrating, soul destroying and upsetting when your children just arent settled. I know, as have been there.
You are a great mummy and you are doing all you can. If it was me i would be visiting the GP and begging for some advice..saying that my GP is very supportive of us, i know some ppl arent so lucky.0 -

Read this through, really feel for you.
It's the weekend, if you call your HV you should get A N Other, call them and cry down the phone.
I don't know how you have coped so long by yourself.
Haven't read any of your other posts so not sure of your circumstances but is there anyone you can call to come and stay or take both the children out? You mentioned the boys going to Dad's - can't he come and take them out so you can get a three hour stretch to sleep, aside from the pre-arranged visit?
My situ wasn't anywhere near to yours but I got to the doctors and stood there and cried in reception. You've never seen them move to help me so fast!
Not sure where you live but I think it's England and I'm in Scotland or I'd offer to come and help you ...0 -
Really feel for you. My daughter had traumatic birth and was a very unhappy baby. cried from 3pm until 2- 3 am ,she struggled to drink, and woulnd'nt sleep. The sleep deprivatio can get you very low. I was warned off the hungry baby formula by the gp who said it was bulked out and took longer to digest. I would second checking the teat size, in hnidsite my girl wasn't getting enough and constantly hungry. Have you tried Gripe water? I swore by it with no. 2 when he had colic. I also found the cranial head massage helpful.0
