Nose is hard to breathe from dispite the constant saline drops and his cough has got worse. And lots of watery poos. Very tempted to cancel nursery for my toddler but I know he loves it. Have absolutely no patience with anything today. Tired beyond belief and feel terrible.
I know he sounds poorly with a cold, but seriously think he could be constipated, my grandson was like this, he had a huge blockage where he was so bunged up. He was screaming with hunger but couldnt eat as he felt so unwell- stomach ache/cramps etc.0 -
I can't even think straight anymore
do I change his milk to stage 1 and see? Do I try a diff brand? I can't go with gut instinct anymore because my gut doesn't know its to exhausted. I use home start but my volunteer got a job ane they have no more volunteers atm. My 2 year old who's normally well behaved has now started misbehaving all the time. Already this morning he has tipped milk powder all over the bed and eaten some of it. And has just drawn all over my nice white door with black eye liner. I didn't even know I had black eye liner
I haven't the motivation to even move today. Just want to cry.* Mummy to my 2 gorgeous and amazing boys *0 -
OMG hun, that's really not good! Get on the phone and get relatives / friends round right now! Get some support, I couldn't handle a baby alone, never mind the rest!0

And on the other query, if your baby isn't well you, as his mum will know this. As pointed out earlier in this thread, take your baby to A+E and have him checked. At worst it's cost you a few hours time.
Above all else, get some help!0 -
I can't say he is unwell enough for hosp. As he's happy at times. Its just a cold. Its just figuring the rest. He isn't crying in pain. More frustration. Or uncomfy. Plus hosp would just send me home. I got referred to the attachment team unecessarily last time. They thought I was over worrying and that my bond might be the cause. So I have zero trust in health care workers now. Hv thinks its to do with his sleeping patterns. Yet he was fine on the breast. Would of carried on but my supply got low and baby started rejecting and no one gave me support. Worst thing I ever did.
Tempted to go ou and buy cow and gate comfort milk. Just in hope it would work. He's on artimal atm. Costing mx a fortune and tons gets wasted.* Mummy to my 2 gorgeous and amazing boys *0 -
You need some support there, it sounds like you're having a nightmare.
Get somebody around to give you a hand and you can then hopefully have a little time to spend with your newborn and be able to assess whether he needs help. 0 -

but it is something I could try.
He was having some baby rice in the morning, and just under half a jar for his tea. But is currently refusing all solids.
Not read all the posts..BUT he sounds just like my ds2 did when he stopped bf and went to formula. We found out (after 4 long long months) that he has problems digesting lactose in formula. He has watery poops all the time too.
I went out (in desperation) and bought lactose free milk from chemists - its quite expensive but i used 3 tubs and saw a massive diff in him, so the GP prescribed it to us. Only prob we had was it made him constapated at 1st so we used lactalouse for the 1st week to help it along.
He is 2 1/2 now and still cant drink cows milk without screaming the place down every 15 mins. Not saying your lo has teh same, but just an idea for you maybe? I only mentioned it as your lo sounds just like ours did.. esp the started being like it after bf and the sleep patterns etc0 -

My little one was the same at about 5 weeks old, he was prescribed Nutramigen and we never looked back. Smells awful but it worked.
Worth a go mumof2? x

his poos arnt usually watery. only yday and today. normally thick and pasty. he poos every day to every other day.. so can it still be constipation?
i am sleep deprived and not with I just stole from boots
i feel so ashamed. i have never done anything like that before in my life. do i take it back? i put things in the hood of my pram.. then i go and pay. but i went to the pharmacy bit to ask advice on something a bit better than calpol. then went to the baby milk section for a nosey. and completely forgot i had that to buy!
i feel like such a horrible mother. i am going to give stage 1 milk every other bottle inbetween his hungry baby milk. then if improves slightly will take him off the hungry baby milk.
would try the lactose free milk. but i am terrified changing too much will make him ten times worse.* Mummy to my 2 gorgeous and amazing boys *0 -
TBH you shouldnt mix any milk. I would advise against mixing the stage 1 with hungry baby. My SIL is a mw and i wanted to try this with ds2 but she shouted me down and said it would make an unsettled baby worse.
You need to get something sorted hun, you sound shattered. Sorry, i dont know what the answer is.. just wish i could wave a magic wand for you.
Dont worry about the boots thing! If its playing on your mind (as it would mine) give the store a call and expalin whats happened - i am sure they will let you pay next time in store.0
