I was advised to do so by a neighbour as well.

Trouble is...the posts above shows that though some items are basically useless, but the issues can normally be resolved with their CS. (asking them to take back the rubbish, and get a replacement.refund).

the posts above says that they may also take some time to get back to you. (maybe coz they need to get back to everyone that they dealt with?? ) dont want to file a complaint with trading standard, and then discovered that they got back to me on the same day offering a replacement.

Will have to wait and see on this one. if i dont get an answer by next week, i will have to go to trading standards. There were deliberate misrepresentation as to the faults of the good. 4 out of 5 goods are not gfit for the purpose which was described as well. ......

The point is they are seling dodgy electrical items, some people might not be as vigilant as you, what if a child got injured by one of these dodgy items ?

Report it to trading standards now if it is as bad as you say.

Got refunded for all the elctrical items and they said that they will come to collect the junk this week. :)

Wouldnt recommend buying form this company, because its not worth the hassle. phone calls, complaints, etc. I would advise you people top just go and get stuff from argos.

did not report to trading standards, as i just do not have the time to do so.

Deanos, If you are so concerned about a child getting hurt, why dont you make the complaint? U can pm me if the officers need any proof and i will be more than happy to assist any investigations, supply pictures of products, etc.

In contrast to some of the posts above, I have always been very pleased with the things ive ordered from WGC.

I have had a vacuum cleaner arrive in a destroyed box but after a quick clean up the vacuum was fine :) Thats my worst experience.

Ive also just today received a HDMI Upscaling DVD Player/DVD Recorder with Divx playback from them for £60. It was brand new but did not have the original manual however WGC had printed one off for me and put it in the box !

Superb company and I think a lot of the problems they have with items arriving damaged is not their fault but heavy handed delivery companies are to blame.

Not trying to be too negative but take care - their bargain "slightly used" lawnmower at £28.91 plus £4.95 postage is available brand new at an Argos near you for £33.32.

Hmmm..shall I or shan't I? Did get all excited at the prices (could quite easily spend a fortune on there) but after spending ages reading through these posts am dithering still in 2 minds whether to buy or not

Well... I ordered a Wharfedale 10" Portable DVD Player for £60 ish and it was meant to be A Graded. It worked fine but it looked like it had been used, you know - the screen had been 'wiped' down, there was tiny bit of what looked like food stuck in the remote control etc. A week later we got round to calling them and they said they would send another one out. A new one came along two days ago and I havent even had a chance to send the old one back yet! So thumbs up for me!

I do think they have more of the same in stock but only sell a limited amount at a time to get people excited. I do keep checking regularly to see what they have.

So thumbs up from me! I would order again :)

I have received 12 items and 11 of them were in good condition. I phoned to say that 1 item was damaged. They credited my visa and they sent a replacement. Can't fault this company.
