set my tv up, not a mark on it, and pic is great, i am one happy gentlepurr this morning
btw, they still have in stock 15" acoustic solutions lcd tv, £98.70 inc delivery if anyones interested.
xx
I ordered one of their 15" Acoustic Solutions LCD TVs off them before christmas and it turned out to be a Funai TV with only 640x480 pixel resolution rather than 1024x768. They have updated their website to say you may receive an equivalent model of similar spec. but the difference in pixel resolution does not IMO equate to similar spec. Its not entirely their fault. Argos are supplying the Funai model as an equivalent, and I wouldn't be surprised if they are getting a lot of returns as a consequence.
Whatsgoingcheap agreed to refund me plus the cost of return.0 -
ollyk wrote:They obviously haven't had legal advice cos PAT testing is a waste of time in this instance!
Can you elaborate? Why would you consider a test- that is carried out probably thousands of times a day across the UK
- that ensures portable elctrical appliances are safe to use
Surely any safety test has got to be a welcome addition to the service..

I've ordered 2 wharfedale 10 in. portable dvd for my 2 children from them on the 24/01/07 and it was delivered on 26/01/06.
Now I understand why these products have been returned as the re-chargeable batteries won't locked in at the rear of the dvd player because they're broken being the batteries are far heavy for the player.
One of the boxes has got few parts missing: no ac adaptor and no belt straps. Rang them and said will send the missing parts on thursday. I will wait and see.0 -
This company has brilliant customer service but the products are abit of a hit or miss!! Ordered 2 tvs one stopped working after 3 wks. They sent another and told me to chuck the other one! Got portable dvd player that wouldn't play in the car. Got another adaptor sent for it a month after i asked and still had to return the lot and postage has not been refunded for me sending it although they said they sent it! Probably be a bit weary of ordering again. You may walk and you may run

All the items come from Argos and are bought by the pallet full untested and sold as seen , they then grade and test the items and sell them on the website.

I got a m&P buggy for £34 instead of £90 from them last week. The only problem is a missing press stud for the rain cover. The box and raincover were unopened, so I guess it was just a fluke problem. That said I'm still delighted with my bargain. Oh I ordered it at 10am weds and it arrived at 9am Thurs!July Win: Nokia 58000

As deaons says, whatsgoingcheap.com is just one of many businesses selling ex-Argos pallets. You can just do this by purchasing the pallet and selling items on for business purposes.
whatsgoingcheap.com is a small outfit run by a handful of people - so buyers should expect some items to be hit and miss. The main thing is that their customer service is second to none.
Have ordered from them several times - first time, items all in stock but boxes a bit damaged. Second time, there was an item missing - contacted them and they refunded me when they realised they had run out of stock.
They also trade on ebay as a powerseller - I think it is "zibulsky".
I would be interested to hear of any other small businesses selling ex-argos itemsI am finally a homeowner!!:beer:0 -

Well, it must be then! Because I have found their customer service to be Cr*p!!
They have not replied to any of my emails (despite GUARANTEEING to get back to all enquiriers within a set amount of time) nor have I been able to get through on the phone. Each time I have phoned there has been a recorded message saying they are too busy to answer calls: "leave your name and number and we will get back to you the same day". Needless to say I have not heard from them.
My complaint was about a missing piece of equipment frankly losing the will to live while waiting for them to respond.......Stop looking for answers....
The most you can hope for are clues.....:)0
