To suggest , as these two did

    They didn't suggest anything.

    They made a bad joke.

There is a huge difference, and those who cannot differentiate are the one's I feel the most sorry for.

    Sexist they certainly are.

Unable to understand that every PL Assistant is qualified to do the job they certainly are not.

Why has Andy Burton been suspended? He said "she's supposed to be good looking" - is that really sexist???

Most importantly, can we have a debate on who is going to take Gray's job? My vote would be Ray Wilkins; I remember his days on Channel 4s Football Italia in the 90s. Excellent sense of humour, knowledgeable and, wait for it bearing in mind he used to be a footballer, INTELLIGENT. I kid you not.

I'm happy for women to come in and do a better job!

What a sexist thing to say, you should be sacked ;)

I've been married for nearly 10 years and on my wedding day, I confessed that the key to a happy marriage was to keep saying those three little words.

Not "I love you" but "Your'e right dear" [edit] even when she's wrong [/edit]

What we've got here is....... failure to communicate.
Some men you just can't reach.

  • Gray was sacked because of the 'microphone down pants' antics with his female colleague. I dont think its too much to ask to be able to go to work without having to face any sort of 'funny' comments about your gender, sexuality, race or physical attributes.

A quip to a blokey mate is one thing, but he went beyond that. Its probably safe to assume that, just like Ron Atkinson, this is the tip of the iceberg and a Gray long history of this sort of thing.

Good for Sky for standing upto this sort of workplace harrassment.

Can you explain the 'Ron Atkinson - tip of the iceberg' comment? Obviously we're all aware of the comments Atkinson made about Desailly, but were there other comments? From the way I understand it Atkinson, prior to his inexcusable comments, had done a huge amount to advance the careers of black footballers.

He was sacked as NOTW had hacked his phone.

Sky, being whiter than white in the sexism debate, wouldn't appreciate the fact that anyone notices if another person is good looking. That's why all of the female presenters on Sky Sports News are so ugly....hang on..........

Yeah Burton said 'there is a female lino this week' then said the camera man said she was a bit of a looker, then him and gray discussed if they would 'do her' or 'give her one' or similar. Seriously no worse than you hear in a pub on a saturday night.

I just think its a bit of a oooo we must not be sexist, we must not be sexist over reaction from male executives wanting to be seen as doing 'something' when really they have just shown themselves, imo, to be equally out of touch with general public feeling. It like in the attempt to appear to be PC they have been anything but.

As a female I could not care less if you find me attractive, I would hope you were polite about expressing this but hey upbringing and all that. Crudeness IMO is not sexist. As a woman I know I can reverse, parallel park, I know a choke is not to hang my handbag on, rear view mirror not for applying lipgloss etc etc. I know the offside rule and your more likely to find me swearing at a referee through the TV than my husband who thinks an offside trap is something to do with plumbing ;)

My lust for Jonny Depp is well known, don't particularly fancy the latest diet coke man on the adverts but wish we had him to fill the vending machine than the pot bellied middle aged bloke that does. Does that make me sexist?

Women work in male dominated enviroments all the time. They deal with the dinosaurs and prove they are up to the job all the time. They do not need a 'knight in shining armour' to trample in and rescue them like a damsell in distress. Sian Massey did her job, she had to withdraw from last nights match due to the contraversy. Just let the woman do her job.

Oh and yes I think she is quite pretty actually.
