Sexism in football

I've heard a rumour about why Gray was sacked - something to do with legal action against a particular Sunday newspaper.
You mean phone tapping allegations against Murdochs NoTW while working for Murdochs Sky

Anyway Craig Levein and Neil Lennon have both openly criticised referees due to alleged football or religious allegiances. Not that long after that the SFA offered Levein a job.
TBH I found their rant amusing. I also think Sian Massey has handled things well, she did her job, did it well, ignored a couple of old dinosaurs. Slap on the wrists for Gray and Keys with a you have made yourself look a couple of right noobs would of been enough IMO.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/2000

I also think PC has gone mad.
I often hear that women can multi task.
I simply reply that they are diluting their focus from each task at hand
There are a number of laws / policies that need to be administered to truly become a PC state.
e.g. a father cannot currently take "maternity leavel"
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Parents/Moneyandworkentitlements/WorkAndFamilies/Paternityrightsintheworkplace/DG_10029398
also retirement ages etc.
Can you really imagine or want a trully fully PC state?
I recall that women were lobbying for access to the MCC.
relaly what rights do they have for that, it's a "Mens Cricket Club".
There's nothing stopping them having a WCC:wall:

Can I vote for Men being genetically modified so they have to give birth

In all seriousness though society plays on gender differences in a sexualised manner. The diet coke man... Beckham in his pants and other bits like 'mens' mag covers, the old school mother in law jokes etc.
A midwife at the hospital i will deliver in (please make it today please please please) is male. My husband is not happy with the idea of a male midwife, says its weird and doubts his abilities purely on the basis he is a bloke. Its not weird its just rare. Having a penis will not make him any better or worse at his job.
refs or assistant refs are just a rare thing, doesn't make them any better or worse at their job either. The sooner everyone accepts this the better. Plus I have seen some truely shocking decisions from male refs and linesmenMF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/2000

If my name was an anagram of Randy Gay I'd make sexist comments too.

On the actual clip, you can hear them making the comments, and then 10 seconds later Keys says "yeah, did you hear that Karen complaining about sexism, yeah right love"... erm, Rich, you were sexist about 10 seconds ago you total fool.
Here's some text I pinched from another forum that sums up my thoughts on it.Now there's a huge "ZOMG SEXISM" bubble floating around football and I doubt the woman in question, or any woman for that matter; will be able to get on with their jobs officiating in football without this coming up and haunting them for some time. Sure people feel they're standing up for her, but in truth they've made her life 10 times harder and caused her more grief than any out of date comment from one overweight football commentator ever could - had it being ignored. I hear she's been replaced in a game she was supposed to be officiating tonight so that she isn't the centre of unfair attention: no doubt she's over the moon everyone's fought her war for her now right? Would it have been that difficult for Sky to fine Gray, warn him of his future conduct in the work place and make a public statement on his behalf apologising - whilst requesting we let the world go on so as not to make even more of an issue of it and let her carry on with the good job she was doing? If that would have happened, Gray would have taken a bit of justified banter in his direction for a week or 2 and then all would be forgotten.
But the PC brigade can't allow that. They have to be the ones to actually cause the uproar; just so they can say "yeah we fight for people's rights". But no they don't - they stand to water down human nature and live in a world where no one can say truth for fear of being punished. Now whenever we turn on Super Sunday and he's not there, you'll be reminded of it. Whenever a woman is officiating at a ground, people will be oversensitive to it in fear of saying something "wrong", whether it's too her face or on camera. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Ah ha.
Being a Geezer, I take the "yeah right love" to mean, 'duh, what do you expect' , not a denial that it exists.
Key might be a sexist, but he is smart enough to recognise the fact.'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -
Ignoring the sexism/should they be sacked row ...
To suggest , as these two did, that someone (man or woman) who has obviously been through years of refereeing training and has officiated at the top level does not know the rules of the game is simply ridiculous.

I regularly worked in the Yorkshire area where everyone is referred to as "luv", male and female.
How far do we really want to take this?:wall:

Our 'midwife' was a man - he did a super job, though being the first time didn't have any other experience! I would have complained if he was giving me a smug grin whilst... well, you know what.. with my fiancee.
Of all the appalling ref decisions, the majority, if not 99.9% of them have come from men - and that's statistics talking, so I'm happy for women to come in and do a better job!0
