I actually thought it was much better last night - no 2nd car to sell, and tips on not falling into marketing traps when you're shopping. They also touched on changing energy suppliers, cancelling unused services and subscriptions etc. Its definitely improving with age!

Yeah pretty bad last night as well, although I did feel there was some genuine flickering of the lightbulb.
I do struggle with this living on £8 a day though. I mean- that is loads and actually fairly wasteful.
Also with him having another CC, was this ever added to the total of what he owed as well
No discussion as to whether him going bankrupt as solicitor could affect his career in any way.
just felt chessie turned into a bit of a fag hag to be honest. Whereas last week with the wide boy & jelwlry making wife, she was like sell your washing machine, with them she was twirling around and winking a lot and saying "ooh thats naughty". Did they get an easier ride as they were a gay couple? OIr am I just being overly cynical again :beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

I totally agree - as a solicitor, it would be a huge problem for him professionally if he went bankrupt, but that wasn't even mentioned.
And did you notice that when they totalled up how much he'd saved, he'd saved something like £2000 by 'rearranging his finances' or something equally woolly with no hint about what that might have been. I bet one of Martin's socks hit the screen at that point!0 -
It was a slight improvement last night, but only slight. Some tips were offered with regards to retail selling but you would expect that as it's her background. Still no money saving ideas just the usual sell as much as you can. Next week looks like someone else who'll have plenty of assets to sell.
I'm waiting to seeing the one with the single mother struggling on benefits with no assets to sell and 3 kids to feed. Somehow I think I'm in for a long wait...Disclaimer: Any spelling mistakes or incorrect grammar is purely coincidental and in no way reflects the intelligence of the author.0 -
I watched it for the first time last night thought it was rubbish. Nothing new at all.Blind as you run...aware you were staring at the sun.
And when no hope was left inside on that starry starry night.

Whilst saving this money is good sense and a way forward it's not actually reducing the debt is it? It's just stopping it getting bigger. I noticed this on the second prog too - Chessie doesn't actually hit her target.I have plenty of willpower - it's won't power I need.

We watched this programme for the first time last night. Not impressed. Martinn and Alvin are streets ahead.
Were these guys for real? Our first thoughts were: are these actors?
I thought you had to have some "nouse" to become a solicitor - this one seemed to be singularly lacking in common sense to me. He had no idea that he was living beyond his means.......wouldn't want him advising me on any legal matters.Back after 9 years in France ... starting again0 -
I watched it again. I dont know why, maybe in the hope she will come up with something original.0
