Coupons/Voucher Questions

I've got a few vouchers that I cut out of the Tesco magazine this afternoon and I was just wondering if anyone knows if these will work the same as other vouchers? It does have printed on each of them
"This coupon can only be used in part payment against any (insert product name) when purchased in any Tesco store where stocked and presented with the product at the checkout"
This suggests to me that they wont take them unless I really buy the product as I can't imagine how they could get the money back. Does anyone think that perhaps I could use these in sainsburys even though they have tesco printed on them?0 -

Tesco will usually only take one of each voucher regardless of whether you buy the product or not. You'll probably need to use each one seperately. Some people see the glass half full, others see the glass half empty - the enlightened are simply grateful to have a glass0 -
Going back to the original post, can you use any of the vouchers on any day or does it have to be the one for that day only?My views are irrelevant - censorship is alive & well!0

I have just had a confirmation letter from Tesco's head customer service centre (on printed letterhead paper w00t) stating that:
For other supermarket vouchers they will accept general spend vouchers i.e. £10 off a £50 spend from Sainsburys, but not individual product vouchers i.e. 30p off of mangos in Asda.
For manufacturer vouchers - as long as they sell the item, they will accept one of each manufacturer voucher per transaction whether you buy the item or not. So, one Kingsmill 50p off voucher, one Velvet toilet roll £1 off voucher, one Muller Light £3 complaints voucher etc....
I have had no problem in my tesco's extra, but I do tend to pick the most lacksidasical (spelling??) looking student kind of till operator who looks like they couldn't care about anything except clocking off...being a student myself, I know the mentality0 -
