so...for the nebies/ignorant amongst us, can one of you please take the time to explain the different types of vouchers, where they come from/how you get them, and how they work - how/where they can be exchanged...
so that once and for all we can clear up all the confusion? lolknow thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
Hi
I think the thing to remember is that - at all stores - use of coupons is at the manager's discretion - and that if people get unfair or argumentative about use of coupons that could mess it up for themselves - and others . I have found it best to smile - be polite and grateful - and always accept what they say . Use of coupons is definitely a "grey " area - and really there cannot be hard and fast rules - but i must say that - personally - i am grateful for the money i save using them .0 -
pavlovs, you can usually only use a coupons if it's valid in any store where the item is sold. if it says a store name on the coupon then you can't use it (not in my town anyway). my asda will accept total spend vouchers such as 'spend £50 get £5 off' - the ones that sainsburys send to people from time to time.
as for where you get coupons from, look for the 'hipp' thread on here and register with huggies and pampers, pretend you have a newborn baby. some people use printed internet vouchers such as those off mumsplusone but i can't use them in my supermarkets. my best source is ebay, i'll pay up to half price for my coupons, usually less, then when i save ten percent in asda i am really saving around five percent but it's still a bonus :-)52% tight0 -
For what it is worth, I think we should all get on with living our lives in the best way we can and stop judging others so much. I am sure that if Tesco etc didnt like it they would certainly put a stop to it.0

On Monday my local Tesco store accepted some Somerfield coupons. But on Tuesday they were refused. My local Asda says they only accept Tesco and Sainsbury coupons, not Somerfield. Is this the same everywhere, or just at my local stores? ThanksI'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0

my asda only take tesco or sainsburys coupons, and then they have to be total spend coupons. each store's manager will have a different idea of what they want to take.52% tight0
