  • Hi,

This is probably a silly question, but when you get the vouchers dont you have to buy the products.

If not wheres the best place to take the vouchers too.

    All help would be grateful.

I've never had a problem at my local ASDA in getting upto 10% off any bill using discount vouchers or money-off coupons for products that I had not purchased.

Only "rules" seemed to be that the product had to be stocked item, it was not an ASDA coupon for an ASDA product, and a maximum of 3 coupons of any 1 particular sort per transaction.

Today I was told "new" rules in place. Still up to 10% allowed BUT ....

Now ONLY TWO coupons of the same sort / same offer.

NO coupons allowed without buying the product IF the VALUE OF THE COUPON IS £1 or MORE !

Anyone else found these new restrictions in force at ASDA ?

  • I read that some stores will take discount vouchers etc. even if you don't buy the product listed on the voucher, the question from me is will Tesco's add the points from the extra points vouchers that they supply when they send out my money off vouchers if I don't actually buy that product ?

Do you mean the ones that Tesco send you which say things like '20 extra points when you spend £1.00 on biscuits' etc etc?
If so from my experience they won't give you the extra points unless you spend that amount of money on that particular item (I have tried it before :o )

Can anyone help me as I am getting a little mixed up. I just wanted to know which supermarkets will accept vouchers for items that you have not actually purchased? I remember when you could do this in all the supermarkets but that was a long while ago and I know that some have changed their policy. Can someone tell me the new rules as I have lots of vouchers and don't know where I can use them without buying lots of things I don't want.
