Hi Mary,
No memory card is included as all the map data is on the inbuilt memory. There is a slot for a SD card up to 2Gb in size for the sake of viewing digitals photos on or listening to music on.

Was planning on buying a sat nav unit with my tax rebate thats due in tomorrows pay - decided to do a quick search on here and found this thread.
Have just been to my local store (Stafford), they have some sat navs on sale but not this one - spoke to customer services who confirmed that they won't be stocking it - but after a couple of calls, she managed to reserve me the last one at another store.
So many thanks to OP - this happy bunny is now £100 better off than she would have been ! :-)Google is my friend ..... :j0 -
Hi Victoriajayne,
I'm surprised you were told your store wasn't stocking them as from what I could ascertain from the brief we were given about it it would be stocked in limited supplies in every store, hence the reason for dummy boxes on a makeshift stand! *Sigh* I'll never understand ASDA and I've been with them for 2 years!
Someone mentioned earlier that they were told they weren't on sale until tomorrow. The briefing states today although I was told by others at work that it had been delayed a day. I put it on sale this afternoon anyway - I refuse to be messed about hehe

I've just picked up one of these (apparently this model is exclusive to Asda) but I also see the nav-cam 7000 is available in Makro for £99 as well.
Ive tried to compare both models on evesham website but not sure which comes out the best. 7000 says pedestrian and car use (or is that for all sat nav systems?). the 6200's battery lasts longer but the bit I'm unsure about is memory, screen reolution etc.
question is, should I get the 7000 or keep 6200? Already decided not to consider Tesco one after reading previous post.
I'm also concerned about having to pay £30 a year for updates. will it still work without the updates e.g will the speed cameras alert continue to work for all existing but not for new ones? Or will there be some MSE'r who will find a free / cheaper way to update.
any advice?0 -
£30 is pretty steep for updates, thats how they are hoping to claw back there money i bet
Does it say what chipset its using , Siriff II or III0
