Coming from where I do, you might expect me to be enthusiastic for this one... but I have a great way of saving at least £90 on the asking price:
DON'T BE SO LAZY AND BUY YOURSELF A ROAD ATLAS!!!!!!!!!!0 -
LizEstelle,
As soon as you find a talking road atlas that has a finger that can point to exactly where I am at any time, then I will :-)
Don't confuse laziness with practicality!0 -

Well if you are a woman driver then surely that would be your male partner in the passenger seat, or vica versa to save on any moans from the ladies.0 -

You do know it's illegal to read literature and drive?
Reading an atlas whilst driving (on your own) is no better than reading the Sun. You'll be weaving all over the place (but less norks).
If you have to visit different locations frequently it's time consuming to plan and print directions all the time (not to mention poor for the environment)It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0 -

Assuming you are being serious, what a truly silly post. :rolleyes:0 -
It's worth the £90 to save the arguments. At least you can blame the sat-nav.0

First impressions of the unit:
silver plastic case, but nicely made. No creaking or weak points.
Aerial is a fold out one, looks a bit ugly but reception seems fine without unfolding it.
small unit, with flat back (not curved like early tomtom go units)
Screen is nice and bright and responds well to touching. Brightness adjustable.
text font / diagrams are nice and clear (not pixelated)
comes with cradle+suction mount, USB cable, and in car charger (no PSU for charging indoors..)
Haven't tried the navigation capability yet, but navigation planning is very easy, and takes full 7 digit postcodes.
Route planning does not seem as detailed (for instance, does not have an adjustable slider like Navman, for deciding between roads and motorways. You can only switch motorways on or off, not adjust the degree of usage. But then again, it never made any difference on my Navman ICN550 TMC.
Would be great if there was a TMC unit for this satnav - it has a mini USB plug, so there is hope yet of a TMC unit at some point in the future...
In my opinion, this is miles ahead of the Garmin i3 that I bought for my sister.happy-hoor

My local ASDA wouldn't sell me one; said it didn't start until tomorrow!0
