I have bought two units - Evesham 6200 (one for a xmas present and one for myself). Straight out the box the unit picked up a good signal and seemed to find my location with ease! I think that this is a good spec for the money and looks pretty good too.
The bloke in ASDA (Mansfield) said that he was selling these about one every 1/2 hour and that they keep running out of stock!
Well recommend it based on my experience.

From memory, you need to go to sound settings (where the volume is controlled, within the SatNav application.) One you ok that, it'll give you the option you're looking for.0

When you get up to the £120 budget, then you are in the realms of the Medion Gopals, which are IMHO better specced all round. The satnav market is very competitive at the moment. Spend £50 more and you can also get sub-free TMC which links to the traffic info channel and automatically re-routes if there is a snarl up ahead.

But the screen in the Garmin is only 5.6 cm compared to 9cm - size matters:-)
My Evesham 6200 got me to work up the A5 today fine - so it does what it says on the tin! And it got all the speed cameras right:-) It did describe one junction as a roundabout - it changed to traffic lights more than a year ago so the maps are a little old:-(Do Money Saving sites make you buy more bargains - and spend more money?0 -
All sat nav maps are out of date when they come out and a year is a good average.
A lot of people moan about bits when they're wrong but usually don't tell the mapping company so they never get corrected.0 -
