Organised mum argued with me over a refund on a typo error on their diary

Consumer Rights....Otherwise why have a forum for discussion.
Maybe I should have posted in Vent...
Exactly - it's a forum for discussion and advice.
Just because you post something here (or in Praise, Vent & Warnings) doesn't mean you're right.
Regardless of which of the 2 boards your posted on, I'm sure you would have got pretty much the same reaction. The reason I noticed it, is because its my daughters birthday. So I was not happy with this. It will probably not bother anyone else. But for me its the principle and not a nice date to be replaced with.
I think this is the telling paragraph - you say it probably wouldn't bother anyone else but because it's your daughter's birthday you're turning this into a 'principle'.0 -
What are you going to do with the rest of the diary, destroy it?0

What's wrong with the 13th? It's just another day. That's mean to the approximately 3.3% of the population whose birthday falls on the 13th of the month."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

I agree, and I would make a joke out of it - 'Your birthday doesn't exist according to my diary - it's like a special leap year so you can stay younger for longer!'.
I don't think I have one academic text that does not have an error in it - would save me a fortune if I could get a full refund just for returning one page!Gone ... or have I?0 -
Oh, how I wish that this was the worst thing that was happening in my life at the moment ..............0

Well speaking as someone who owns this diary as a direct recommendation from the OP's post in grabbit, I can honestly and truly say....My enjoyment of the month of November has been ruined. The 3rd is payday and I JUST don't know how i'm going to cope without that money. It's going to be 8 weeks between paydays!!
Man I wish the 13th was pay day....:oGood Enough Club member number 27(2) AND I got me a stalkee!

I would sue for loss of enjoyment ... maybe some emotional distress too?
Gone ... or have I?0 -
Surely you remember your daughter's birthday without the need to write it on the offending page?0
