Thanks! I'll have a look at their shops - I'm either going to go for independent and handmade, or vintage.:)Marrying my lovely man on 1st September 2012

It suddenly feels a lot more real when you've done that, doesn't it? I'm such a saddo that I phoned the registry office a year to the day of our legal ceremony ie the earliest you can book! Our appointment isn't till early November - they close at lunchtimes and only have evening appointments one day a week!
I feel like we're actually getting things done now; in the last week I've sorted wedding insurance, contacted photographers, written a proper To Do list in order of what needs doing when, AND we've even got an amazing guitarist to play while we're having photos and mingling! It's this guy - H2B found him :T
Looks like I CAN be effective - who knew?!Marrying my lovely man on 1st September 2012

My news is that our UK cordinator has been in touch this morning & we have arranged to meet her early Nov to get everything sorted & booked & I mean everything! We have to name our witnesses, pick flowers, photographers, cars, champagne, venue decoration the whole lot:eek: but very exciting too :jMarried the man of my dreams - 10th September 2012, St Paul's Bay Lindos :jIt was amazing.0 -

Eeep, how exciting! Have you decided what you want, or do you have lists to choose from?Marrying my lovely man on 1st September 2012

Seriously considering hiring these as our wedding transport!
http://www.pedalpowertransport.co.uk/
As our evening venue is only five minutes' walk from our day venue I was thinking of us and our guests just walking over there in convoy. For those who are a bit infirm we could lay on a few of these, as well as using them for the arrival of the wedding party.
Should be cheaper than most petrol-powered alternatives, not to mention green!Marrying my lovely man on 1st September 2012

Hi,
We have a good idea, we are waiting for the confirmation of our restaurant still but fingers crossed on that. I have no idea on the transport to the chaple probably just use taxis. We don't know what sort of photographer package we can afford yet so will see what they are offering. There are a few things we want to book for the day & yes they do have many lists of extra if you want, i'm really not looking forward to looking at them as I know i'll want loads of things:D. You can even have a confetti drop by a plane over the chapel at the right moment which sounds cool but I bet will be megga books:eek: Not sure on what sort of decorations we want at the venue but our colour theme is Orange, so something like orange saches on the table & pillar candles would be good.
The process is good because although you choose & book everything there & get the cost they then email it back to you in a few days & you sign then so it gives you a chance to double check your money & there is no pressure.
I love the pedalpower transport, what fun & very different - is it a good price?Married the man of my dreams - 10th September 2012, St Paul's Bay Lindos :jIt was amazing.0 -
Me again:o
Our wedding planner has just been in touch to say that we have our dream venue confirmed:j:j:j
I'm so pleased, we did have a second choice but really wanted this one as it's amazing & the location is perfect, right next to the sea & even when it's dark you can see all the lights round the bay & listen to the waves it's magical:j Can you tell i'm happy :rotfl:Married the man of my dreams - 10th September 2012, St Paul's Bay Lindos :jIt was amazing.0
