  • Aw Scotsbride so exciting you are booked :) does it feel a bit more real now?

I'm still off work but finally starting to feel a bit more normal what a horrid week I've had just so glad went to dr on Monday and got anti b's! Fed up of being stuck in too!

Anyone started a wedding beauty regime? It's a bit mad but I'm really trying to take care of my skin and hair a bit better as before I wasn't great. Just do face packs and hair masks at home but try to do them once a fortnight instead of once in a blue moon. It's defo making a difference!

Also at weightwatchers working hard and since we got engaged last July have lost nearly 3 stone (4lb to go!) so very pleased with myself for that!

Oh well think I'll go make another cuppa!

    Happy Friday everyone :D

    Hi Joanneinwonderland,

Glad your feeling a bit better. I keep thinking I must make more of an effort with my hair & skin:o Should start now really & get into a routine, sounds like a plan!
Married the man of my dreams - 10th September 2012, St Paul's Bay Lindos :jIt was amazing.

  • I don't use anything overly fancy or expensive in fact I find the 99p sachets of face masks are excellent. For an office outing last year we went to a spa and she used a scrub mask then a moisturising mask so I just try to replicate that.

It is less expensive to buy tubes of stuff though so once I got into routine did that instead once I knew I was going to stick to it if that makes sense.

Best hair mask is big loreal tubs they really condition my hair and aren't too dear compared to some brands. The tub lasts ages :)

I am a total Boots junkie...am banned from it just now until I use up all my supplies!

    xx

does feel a little bit more real booking the venue and telling the family but I don't suppose it will feel quite real until I can see it coming together.

Beauty regimes aside from getting my hair cut applying sunblock ocassionally no beauty regimes though I might have to do something about my hands :eek:and I'm wondering if compost soil and dirt is good for the complection (I work in horticulture) as I usually end up covered.:rotfl:

Can I join please. Getting married on 15 September 2012 on the ss Great Britain, in Bristol http://www.ssgreatbritain.org/

Right now I'm in the process of getting addresses so I can send Save the Dates out - I've *ahem* acquired some labels from work and bought some cheapy blank postcards (and second class stamps!). Done a fair bit of event organising through work so am just running it like another project!

Going to have one big bridesmaid (best mate), two or three little ones (2 x niece and 1 x cousin's daughter) and a ring bearer (nephew).

Because the ship is open to the public every day, we're not getting married until 4.30 pm and so are only feeding people once. The evening do won't start until about 8.30 ish. Am thinking of having a sweetie buffet though (because I'm a bit of a pick-n-mix-aholic).

My OH is Daniel, he's 30 and I'm 34 (yes, he's my toyboy <3). We've been together about 18 months and it'll be 3 years to the day when we marry.

We met in Ikea (he was wearing a funny tshirt and I asked him about it). Am thinking of writing them a "thank you" (not at all in the hope of getting some freebies. No, honestly it's not!)
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

  • Aw fawny I know what you mean I get super soppy at weddings now when I think ours will be next year :) lovely hope you had a good day and the weather was kind.

Welcome Emmylou married on a ship sounds excellent and love the save the dates. We are still deciding whether to send out or not? Just not sure if we need to although people will be travelling and staying over? Difficult to know. Defo write to IKEA....why not?! Imagine if you got some vouchers or something!

Made a start on wedding shopping today meaning I have emailed a shop and also got in touch with the girls to see when they are free so we can organise a visit. Taking Mum and 3 bridesmaids who are all busy bees so it will be a military operation us all getting together. Very exciting!! Plan is to try on at some point in next couple of months but not order til much later (when I know when latest I can order) as I want to keep dieting until I've ordered and then will simply maintain.

Just looking at birdcage veils on ebay and seen one I'm super keen on....erk!

Welcome Emmylou, from a fellow Brizzle Bride! Getting married on the SS Great Britain sounds ace, and you'll get some amazing photos from it.

Definitely write to Ikea, there's nothing to lose!
