Hello soontobeawife good date choice
I am just too excited and like you wishing it was sooner. Trying to have a bit of a break from buying/looking at things at the moment...quite ahead of the game really considering.
As for the shoes White Sapphire if you google Glinda 50G they should come upDEELIGHTED!
xxWhat's fur ye won't go by ye!0 -
hi soontobeawife it is a good name but what about when you do get married, will you be sticking around?
other posters have names along the same lines but you cant change it and they wish they could, you would have to start a new profile and lose all your forum status
you can change it now though and just reintroduce yourself, or if you dont mind being 'soontobewife' even after your married and still here in a few years just ignore me lol xI am not bossy I just have better ideas:p0 -

I feel for you Jemma - this year's a bit mental for us, with my 30th, H2B's parents' 40th anniversary, H2B's sister's wedding (with associated stag do for H2B to attend, and hopefully a hen do which I have heard nothing about, but I'd better be invited to, lol), and possibly another stag and hen party for our friends who are marrying early next year. Meanwhile, H2B is trying to pay off debt, and I am supposed to be saving for a wedding on a part-time shop assistant's wage... *tries to decide whether to laugh or cry* :rotfl: We'll get there - I'll just have to sell everything but the clothes on my back - you lot think I'm jokingH2B, the wag, having stopped for petrol last night, got back in the car saying 'I've thought of a plan to pay for the wedding', and handed me a scratchcard :rotfl: Needless to say he wasted a quid....
Maybe the answer is then robbing a bank!!! or gambling!!
The problem I have is that I want everyone to feel looked after and welcome. Went to a 20 k wedding the weekend and didnt want for anything. I know this isnt realistic but why do nice things cost so much!!!
How much is everyone budegting for an evening reception as thats all I have to plan over here.
Ive seen prices from 10.00 to 30.00 pp whats the norm?
Love the fact everyone is so organised :T
As the saying goes if you fail to plan you plan to fail (A good old teachers expression) lol x0 -

Hmm, hadn't considered criminal activity as an income before. WHY didn't I consider criminal activity as an income before??? *withdraws to plot nefarious deeds*
Hopefully very soon I will have a new job which will pay a few pence more an hour (every little helps, eh!), and am planning on doing creative things like make beaded jewellery and greetings cards and selling them on ebay/etsy. I also do mystery shopping so will try to do as many assignments as possible. It'll all come together in the end!
As for budgeting for evening do, I don't really know what our budget is, as it's all tied in together. You can hire village/community halls pretty cheaply and either get caterers in or do the food yourselves - you can pretty much spend as much or as little as you want. Is the per person price just for food or taking into account venue hire and entertainment as well?Marrying my lovely man on 1st September 2012

Date quadruplets!!!! I feel so proud lol
Welcome catgirl! :hello:Sorry to hear about your redundancy - hopefully you will be able to find another job quickly - fingers crossed for you.
You have loads of time to decide what you want, and as for making it individual and quirky, I think the best way is just to build the wedding round what matters to you and your H2B, what represents your relationship and personalities, and the things you like, avoiding bridal magazines wherever possible!! Offbeatbride.com is a good place to go (I have genuinely lost count of the number of times I've mentioned that site, but it is brilliant) Make sure you keep us posted

First post updated Scotsbride! You are date twins with tryingtobetheperfectHW.
Looks like a stunning venue, you'll have some awesome photos!
We are going to arrange to meet the co-ordinator at our evening venue to try and get the cost down a bit, so I'll let you all know how that goes.
Hope everyone else is doing well!

Sounds like plans are coming along nicely White Sapphire your venue sounds lush as does your Scots Bride eek so exciting isn't it? I wish Sept 2012 was closer but it will rush round I'm sure! My shoes arrivedSO pleased they are just what I was hoping for so chuffed with them but they are packed safely away from prying eyes....including mine! Dress shopping is next! Seen a beautiful Justin Alexander dress which I LOVE so scared to try on in case the style does not suit though eek....the price is also scary as never seen his dresses when been with friends so no idea of even a ball park figure...so worried it's not in budget!
Horrible day up here in Aberdeen SO windy like I think my roof might blow off! I am also off work with a bad throat infection so I'm extra grumpy hence the cheering on here. It has worked thanks girls!!
xxxx
good luck with the dress. It's been horrid weather in D&G too got absolutely soaked in the rain/hail now have cold:kisses3: Married 29th September 20120
