    I LOVE the yoyo idea!!
And just a quick question...what to Pageboys do?! Ive always wondered lol

Look cute? LOL!.... Well I have to say we did wonder this as well and struggled to find them a job. Some people say they can bring the rings over tied to a cushion but we wanted the best man to do the rings so we asked our vicar last week if she had any ideas and she cam up wuth a perfect one... The eldest will have a have a tube to keep the marriage certificate in and the youngest will have a pen case and when we go to sign the certificates we will ask them to bring them over and then afterwards leave with an adult to look after the signed certificate. We won't even use the pen (apparantely it has to be a certain ink!?!?!) but at least it gives them both a role in the day. :)

Roz do you mean your looking for different bouquet ideas for yourself...or a different gift instead of a bunch of flowers?

ha ha Thats lovely including them in the day like that. I have a 6 year old who doesn't really have a 'job' so to speak. We were going to have him as pageboy...till I thought what the hell does one do!? LOL
I love what you have planed though x

we were offered to hire chair covers from the venue. In the end i just thought, a chair is a chair, they are only for sitting on ha ha. I would have liked them to make the room less 'old fashioned' but people arent going to remember anyway so I just ruled that extra expense out. I think more and more people are going for a 'natural' look now as apposed to covering everything up. All these 'vintage' weddings have lovely old chairs that go really well with the old teapots and china. Do you HAVE to have chair covers? xx

Our page boy is going to carry the rings in the procession at the beginning, then we're involving him in the 'ring warming' we're doing, where the rings get passed around the guests during the ceremony.

Tillymama, as already said, do you have to have chair covers? Unless the chairs are ugly plastic things, or clash really horribly with the decorations, I would consider saving yourself the time, money and stress!

Well, it's my hen weekend this weekend!! :j I'm very excited, although I have a lot to do before tomorrow afternoon - tidy the flat and move things around, as everyone will be staying here tomorrow night, and get lots of food in for an indoor picnic lunch. I should get off MSE now and go and do stuff really... :o

Have a lovely weekend everyone, particularly anyone else whose hen it is this weekend!

    xx

Nutty, yes I meant a different gift instead of a bunch of flowers. The logistics of our day just make it not really viable.

Fiona, have a great weekend - I wish it was mine again!!

No wedding stuff again for me this weekend, I'm still in bed :rotfl: recovering from the works Xmas do last night - free bars are lethal!

Is anybody providing their own desserts for the wedding breakfast?
We are having a hog roast, so i have the option of hiring a plate for 35p each for the 65 guests and providing my own desserts.
    Ideas so far:
costco cake (but htb thinks this will get confused with the wedding cake)
costco or iceland frozen mini desserts.
    wedding cake
    or cupcakes!
Just another thing to stress about!

Along with what necklace to wear, or what bra (i hate strapless they make me have armpit cleavage)

    Hiya,

I've got my knickers but no bra yet. My dressmaker swears I won't need one, I've never gone bra less before so will see. I pick my dress up on 18th Aug so I will be able to tell then if I can manage without one, if not I have two weeks to find one - I hate strapples ones too. Will you definatly need one, once it's all fitted?
Married the man of my dreams - 10th September 2012, St Paul's Bay Lindos :jIt was amazing.

I'm going bra-less. My dress is strapless and is very fitted around my boobs which is useful lol. One thing I cannot stand is watching people constantly pulling their dress up cos they are going to fall out. I'd go with whatever is comfortable, you might find its too tight with a bra or doesn't look right or something.

The dress is quite structured so i may not need a bra. But where Im getting my dress from, she says that the wonderbra ones are quite good...the ones that shows a pair of hands holding up yer boobies! But she says keep the tags on and take it back if it doesnt work...but if it is comfy, it will be good for hols. Im going to try one on at the weekend see what they are like....never been a fan of wonderbra, can remember years ago...it felt like having 2 half tennis balls stuck on the front of me! :/
