Oh yeah, I forgot photos. Here's the eBay Auction. It's brand new and unaltered.

Haven't posted on here for a while...

Have got a long list of very little things to do.. with a month to go I'm soooo excited!!! Everyone is saying I am so relaxed, is everyone else feeling the same?

Decided to make our seating plan.. although I can't decide what to do it on. Been looking today, it's either card or like a canvas, scrapboard type thing.. perhaps with a frame? Wondering if anyone has any tips?

eef - with seven weeks to go before the big day -on friday morning i wind up in hospital having emergency surgery!

We thought it was appendicitis, but it turns out that a length of tubing from a previous surgery was travelling about in my abdomen and wrapped itself around a pad of fat, which went necrotic and extremely painful.

the surgeons took out the pesky tubing, the dead tissue (and my healthy appendix, while they were in there) and i've just come home this morning feeling incredibly sore and exhausted.

hopefully i'll be back to normal before the wedding - though i think i'm going to reconsider my heels and go for some safe flats. so much still to be done though, and i've got exams and assignments looming, feel hugely overwhelmed.
Life on a shoestring!

we have no idea! I was operated on by a general surgeon, and the tubing seems to be part of a shunt I had put in 7 years ago by a neurosurgeon. SO now I have to go to Birmingham QEH on thursday to speak with their neurosurgeons to try to find out if my shunt is broken (i.e., the tube was supposed to be in there, but has moved out of place) or if it's a random extra piece of tubing left in by accident!

Eeeek Catherine that sounds scary :( Glad you're home OK now, and just remember you have your lovely mum to help you out x

Katie, people keep asking if I'm nervous and saying "oooh you must be so busy now it's so close"... Erm well no I'm not nervous at all, and I haven't got that much left... Which leaves me panicking that I've missed something MASSIVE! :rotfl:

Bubbles, I think it's coz I like having the money in MY bank account, and sending it off to someone elses is depressing :rotfl:

Nene, that dress is GORGEOUS!!! When will it arrive? I'm excited for you!

It should hopefully arrive on Wednesday/Thursday. The shoes I already have will suit the dress and so will the choker hopefully. Dunno about the tiara yet, hopefully it'll go together. lol. I'll have to post some pics of me in it when it arrives.

OH got his shoes yesterday, they're hideous, but he likes them so I guess that's ok :rotfl:

Got the last 2 packets of marshmallows for the tables, Table plan is done (I'm taking our hallway mirror off the wall and just sticking the place settings on there. Should look quite nice)

I still have left to do:

1. Make Cake
2. Start making Roses
3. Tone Up
4. Write Speech
5. Bridesmaids/best man Presents
6. Find Chair Covers
7. Make Table plan & Print out
8. Get baby wipes for the ink & sort out a bin
9. Write out place cards
10. Pay Photographer
11. Pay Registrar (Next Week)
12. Pay Venue
13. Get numbers and dishes to venue
14. Get dresses fitted and taken out.

I rung the registry office on friday and asked when they normally like payment. "We normally like it 12 weeks before the ceremony"...."Oh, so I better pay pretty soon then". She laughed.

I've made the gumpaste for the Roses. Never made it before, so should be interesting...

Anyone else like making rods for their own backs?! OH and I have decided that we will now have a table plan as we've had most RSVPs back now and it will only cost us £35 more to have enough tables/seats for everyone and will probably make it easier to serve the buffet as people can be called a table at a time... Now to decide on table names, table plans and how to display :rotfl:

Though I have ticked one thing off my list today, I got two "lollipop" bay trees from Homebase. 2 for £30 but paid using Nectar Points so FREE :j will use flowerpots that I already have and will give to the mums afterwards as gifts :D
