great news that place looks amazing. Awww Fawny so pleased it all worked out for you the place looks amazing - very jealous!! I'd have loved a wedding abroad but couldn't for various reasons. Sounds like the owner is a good guy too

I've been crafty tonight - but not with invitations I have mocked up our centrepiece vases as the Calla Lillies arrived - just need to trim the stems down, add glass pebbles & add water




I also made a tissue paper Pom Pom to see how difficult they would be/how good they look as I've seen a few weddings on blogs with them and fancied having a go. This one was made with 4 sheets of a patterned tissue paper I had lying around (probably saved from a present someone has given me :rotfl:) I was really pleased at how easy they are and so I'm going to make different sizes in both pink & white to string across the venue at various heights



That's my wedding stuff done for the weekend, am off to see my sisters and sunbathe with them tomorrow (strapless top - am already conscious of not getting silly tan lines :rotfl:), and then cuddles with my best friends baby on Sunday. Have a good one everyone, enjoy the sunshine!! xx

aww thanks fawny i love them too especially the cost! soo glad you sorted a new venue, id be in two minds to get someone to sabotage the new wedding
im not getting far with the invites im afraid, i need to get sharper scissors or splash out on this ribbon cutter thing which seals it straight away, its £19.99 though so dear for something ill never use again

Fantastic news about the new venue Fawny!! :T It looks even more beautiful than the last one, with the added bonus that the guy who runs it is not a money-grabbing git!!

Roz, that centrepiece is gorgeous! Very elegant. Love the pom poms too.

Dress progress is not bad - photos to follow soon. Can't upload them at the mo, due to a certain person being in the room who isn't allowed to see the photos Having said that, he's watching footie, so I could probably do naked morris dancing around the living room and he still wouldn't notice... :rotfl:

We've almost sorted the invites, and should get them done by tomorrow. I'll post photos ASAP, of course!

Urgh, I'm having second thoughts about almost everything I've bought...is that normal? lol.

The dress is still about an inch too small for me and I can't seem to stop eating ho hum.

Can you all help me decide which centerpieces to go for as I really don't know anymore.

These will be filled with water with 3 balloons in balloons in the center

There will be a big vase here as well I just haven't bought the Marshmallows yet to go in them. Again there will be 3 balloons in balloons but I'm not too sure if this will make it seem too birthdayish instead of weddingy...


What do you all think?

Could you not do both put the sweets in the middle size glass and maybe use them as away of getting people who don't know each other very well to interact
