Oh no I've missed so much! But to summarise as far as I've read:
Jemma lovely to have your honeymoon input. We are considering Paris for a few days, Barca for a few days, Rome for a few days then down to Sicily to relax. All our chums seem to go straight for America so I want to be different.
Sapphire hilarious you knew your hair...I knew mine before even got engaged. A nice big bun at the side just at the nape of my neckhave a pic in my head of what I want in my hair...just can't find it!
Also the cake talk is killing meI could totally cope with crumbs and icing arriving in the post right now!

yeah i cant wait to just go and look at the place again
they are having renovations done at the mo though.....but when i looked round it didnt even need it!
they look a little time consuming bubbles, but i suppose once you get the hang of it they arent too bad?
i have an ISA...think they are putting the limit upto around £5300 or something like that in April...i have £3000 saved in it already,i thought you could open an Isa up at any time?? i cant remember waiting till April to set mine up. though i do online banking and its an e-ISA:dance:

Ok up to date now girls sounds like we're all planning away! Reassuring to hear thought I was a bit mad looking into things.
I shall summarise what I have in my head about our wedding. We've booked the local Holiday Inn which the Bridezilla in me hates it's a Holiday Inn but the room we get married in and the drinks reception etc. are breath taking it's been recently renovated. Holiday Inn West Aberdeen is what to google if you fancy a snoop.
In my head it's kind of Autumny ish theme. Got 3 bridesmaids and fancy then in chocolate brown (although they haven't tried on I think the colour will suit them all), with perhaps a burnt orange flower.
One of the things I've recently looked at are silk flowers they look really pretty apparently there's a woman up here that does them so going to try and meet with her. A lot cheaper and a lot easier to get exactly what I want in my view. Oh and I can keep them forever
My table centres are going to be jars of sweets, plastic jars already purchased from ebay and will get sweets from costco nearer the time, favours are to be little bags of sweets all bagged up. However my intention is that everyone can eat sweets all night
Cake I am thinking Markies...not that extravagent but I'm happy spending a bit less on it to be honest. they have a nice plain cake that we're going to decorate with some more SWEETS!
HEEEEE I AM SO EXCITED! :T:TWhat's fur ye won't go by ye!0 -
I know nutty I'd so love to pull off those honeymoon plans. As it is we have no idea how much that costs at the moment...need to go in and see if the budget can stretch a bit for that.
We shall see!! Opened a new ISA today with a better rate so going to really start choring money away...my poor friends they must be fed up hearing me say I'm skint! Will so be worth it though.

they are time consuming to start nutty, it took me 45 minutes to do the first four til i got the hang of it lol, just sit in a comfy seatwith a lap tray, stick on some good tv and have a glass o wine to hand an youll soon get into the swing of it
your right you can open an ISA anytime along as you havnt reached the tax years limit, my sis and i came into some money so i put it all in one ISA as she was living abroad at the time so have to wait til april before im allowed to open another
its a bit frustrating as ill have to pay tax on what ive saved so far but it wasnt all my money that reached the limit:/I am not bossy I just have better ideas:p0 -
lol comfy position n tv sounds great, though im not a massive wine fan so will be pimms n lemonade ha ha
joanne, i love the sweets idea.....i think you should have a cake like this!:
LOL im making one similar in august, but a little more simplified!! cant wait, ill get to eat the left over sweets ha ha xx:dance:

Oh my days that cake is lush! Just what we're looking for!
I presume I would stick on the sweets with cake glue? I have googled so I'm not making that up haha!
We have our topper alreadySilver J&S for our initials I love them!
xxWhat's fur ye won't go by ye!0 -
you could either use edible glue...or a little dab of royal icing (which u can make yourself by buying silver spoon ROYAL icing sugar) and adding a little water!
ooo monogram toppers!! lovely
lol you sound like youve bought more for your wedding than all of us put together LOL:dance:

Haha yes I think I may have. Oh I also have the guest book and of course the pen (although my mum got that) I just see stuff and if it's what I want and price I can deal with I get it...like different things too don't want anything to be run of the mill haha!!
Silver spoon royal icing sugar ok that's imprinted on my brain! How long before can we get the cake and decorate it? We are going to get choccie sponge for 3 tiers but also some fruit cutting cake so people have a choice.
