Hi Katie,
I would normally say that you will gets lots of advice and help in this forum, but....you can help us!!! Add me to the list of JEALOUS! Well done though for being organised
x0 -
Haha thanks. We had originally planned to get married next July but luckily both got better jobs and so moved it to this year. I am ridiculously organised anyways and have spreadsheets with budgets and actual costings coming out of my ears! (Luckily the other half is as keen as me to get things done!)
I just don't like hearing stories of people stressing in what should be the most exciting time ever! So start early then there shouldn't be any stresses... I hope!x

:rotfl:I need to take a leaf out of your book! I have spreadsheets and lists coming out of my ears too, but have let the stress get to me and have really fallen behind...just take a look at my to do list on the previous page, will probably make you cringe!!! LOL. I am on the straight and narrow now and focussed! So not letting it get me down now, like you say, its supposed to be the most exciting time ever, not stressing.:D0

Hello Katie,
Welcome to the September thread. I'm sure Fiona will add you to the front page when she is back on. Sounds like you are doing great.Married the man of my dreams - 10th September 2012, St Paul's Bay Lindos :jIt was amazing.0 -
Hi Katie! Like your attitude, we should all be enjoying this exciting time of our lives, not stressing over silly little things that really won't matter in the long-term.
Nat, I think I'm jumping in the no-dress boat ith youI've been having "wobbles" about my dress since before Xmas, and have now decided that I should at least go dress shopping and try some "proper" wedding dresses which should make my mind up either way. The dress I have is from the High St, very different to anything I ever thought I'd have and I haven't tried any others on so it will be good to just have the experience if nothing else. We have a very good shop locally which sells end of line etc dresses off the rail for £200-£500 so I'm going to make an appointment and have a day out with my mum - they have some lovely dresses on their website so I'm quite excited and at least I know it won't break the bank if I do fall in love... that's what I'm missing at the minute - the love & knowing it's "the one"!

Haha just read back my last sentence - haha surely a wedding should be about feeling that for my OH & not a dress :rotfl:0

Hello all been awhile since I have been on here & way to many ages for me t g back, when I have more time though I will as be interesting to see where everyone is.
So I am feeling very organised to organised to be honest & am itching to get on with more but nothing more I can do, still saving hard for the wedding.
I am another with a spreadsheet & no what I'm spending what is left to be spent what is left to get etc.
I had a sample of my wedding invite the other week & love them so there being made up now, everyone has to RSVP back by 31st June. Have chosen my menu so happy that is done.
Meeting up with the florist end of the month to talk flowers. Gave my notice of marriage & everything 2 weeks ago & am getting married at 2pm that way it should all flow nicely without there being to much lull
All I have left to do now apart from paying for things is:
Sort out Paige boy & flower girl shoes
Gifts for everyone
Make up a basket for the toilet of things that may be needed
Keep collecting for my photo booth
Keep collecting sweets for the candy bar
That's about it. Everything is booked as it should be.Getting married Sat 1st September.Saving like mad for the next 40 weeks0 -
With my dress, I only tried on about 8, had two completely contrasting favourites... one much bigger than I'd hoped and the other was how I'd thought I'd have my wedding dress. I went back the next day and instantly knew it was the one that I would have expected to have.
I would definitely look at the end of line rails... There are some real bargains there and some stunning dresses! Hope you find somethingMarried my wonderful husband on 8/9/12 :j0
