    Hi,

Sorry about all the posts not sure why I can't seem to do one today!

Well had a great day shopping yesterday with my BM for her dress. She tried on 20 dresses:eek: They were all very differnet & we took pics of her in all of them & then reviewed them over lunch & the again over a cuppa later. We both have very different styles as she has a very high powered corporate job in London so her dresses are normally to this style, not less formal flotty bridesmaidy so was quite difficult as she is not used to this style.

After 6 hours of hard core shopping we finally agreed that this Phase Eight dress Rosie Belted Dress was the perfect one:jhttp://www.phase-eight.co.uk/fcp/product/warehouse/Bridesmaid/Rosie-Belted-Dress/201568313

She looked lovely in it & it's fairly light so should be reasonable cool.

Hope everyone is well & Fiona hope you are felling a bit better.
Married the man of my dreams - 10th September 2012, St Paul's Bay Lindos :jIt was amazing.

Those centrepieces are gorgeous Roz! And lovely BM dress Fawny; so glad you managed to find the right thing; sounds like a mission of epic proportions!!

Thank you all for your support; I still haven't managed to speak to my friend yet, but at least I'm feeling a bit calmer now I've had a few days to think about it. I'll let you all know what happens.

Fawny the dress is lovely :)

Nene, same wedding day, same centrepieces... Are you my OH :rotfl: In fact, I know you're not, just by the fact that you know what centrepieces are :rotfl: I'm hoping to do them very cheaply - we need 12 - I bought square mirrors from Ikea (£6/4pk) and tealight holders from there too (99p/4pk), and I'm hoping to "acquire" the vases from work, however none of my customers currently buy the particular vases I want so I'm going to speak to my boss & see if we can come up with some ruse ;) so it's just the beads and the flowers to get hold of. Though who was your seller as I may need a plan B?

Hobbycraft was rubbish, so I just went to the ice rink and got drunk with the other Wags :rotfl: All of our OHs got on the scoresheet and they won 12-2 so successful day for the bar, if not for the wedding planning!

Thank you Fawny and Debbiecatal - new things added to list - underwear, jewellery, guest book and music for ceremony.

Fawny - you sound so organised with all the details - hope your boss can help with the centrepieces

Got a few more things confirmed but still not decided on a dress - too hard to pick when none of the sample sizes fit!!! And unfortunately our bridesmaids dresses look like they will go way over budget........ My OH is less than impressed as most things seem to be - oops!

Need to look at other areas to save money on - (scratches head and looks at spreadsheet)

    BabyB
    Mort at highest - June 2008 - £171,000 - Daily Int 5.9% = £27.64:eek:
    Offset Mort - Nov 2010 £150,299- Daily Int 3.75% = Nov £15.44
    Mortgage Jan 2012 - £136,000 - Daily Int 3.75% - £3.10

OK, new month, new to-do list!!! I feel like almost everything that is "necessary" for a wedding is sorted now, everything else is just extras & nice to haves :) *repeats under breath that everything is under control*

    March 2012
    • [STRIKE]Order wedding rings[/STRIKE] - eeeeek!! Ordered from The Beautiful Company online, 2.5mm platinum band for me and 5mm Palladium band for OH - £511 for both including a double ring box, which I thought was pretty cheap!
    • Order invitation materials - samples ordered, should arrive this weekend. When I'm happy with the mock-up I'll order the full quantities
    • [STRIKE]Order groomsmen outfits[/STRIKE]
    • Book wedding night hotel - OH has found a "possible" but wants to go and check out the suite before booking.
    • [STRIKE]Look into hotel accommodation for guests[/STRIKE] - organised and provisionally booked, guests have info needed to finalise bookings

    April 2012
    • Decide on menu for meal after ceremony & make wine choices (really looking forward to this!!! :rotfl:)
    • [STRIKE]Finalise menu and arrival drinks with evening venue[/STRIKE]
    • Make all invitations
    • Decide on ceremony music/readings
    • Pick up certificate of notice from local registry office
    • Meet with ceremony registry office to check everything out and drop off notice
    • Order evening venue decorations (centrepieces etc)

Update: Mum got the wrong end of the stick! :D No baptism yet, so all is fine, although I now feel guilty for even thinking that I wouldn't have been included or informed :o

So, now that's out of the way...

Roz, you are being far too organised; I'm not sure if I can bear to look at my To Do list!
Off the top of my head, we really really really need to do the following:
    - finish the :mad::eek::cool::silenced:ing invites...
    - buy stamps before the end of the month
    - start writing vows, choose readings
    - try to finish my dress before 1st May (my self-imposed deadline): clearly not going to happen :o
    - make veil
    - find a hairdresser
    - decide on hair ornament; I've found a shop which will make it for a good price, but want to design it myself. Miiiight make it myself if budget too scary and I can find the time!
    - choose menu
    - discuss hen do with MoH; H2B's stag do is well on the way to being organised, and we've not even started!
    - set up wedsite
    - decide on gift list

Right, so I'm just off to my 'happy place' for a bit....:eek::eek:
