i could work on ebay to make it up to 30 hrs and get more money due to us.

Thats the telling bit to me. Its seems a way of trying to fiddle the system.

Both need to work 30 hours per week.

Thats incorrect. The person claiming has to be working 30+ hours, not both.

This seems like an awfully sneaky way of getting extra free money. I suspect you are not going to be doing any real work on Ebay. It is just a con - fraudulent is the word that springs to mind.
I agree a lot of people have to sell and buy on E bay and I can spend many a night doing this in order to get a little extra money to buy the kids some clothes I have a long term health condition but I manage to work in order to keep a roof over my head stop scrounging and get out there instead of expecting the Government and namely working people... to keep you on E bay!!!!... get out there and get a job

tax credits isnt a benefit, its a tax credit award from inland revenue , not dss and is awarded by doing more work, not less, eg going from 20 hrs to 30hrs.bettering oneselves and adding to revenue, income, to the country
jsa is a benefit from dss fro thsoe that cant find a job or dont want to work or want to go from 30 hours to zero hours.
ebay is a realistic way to buy and sell without the overheads of bricks and mortar on high street.
Im sure many banks, business advisors would say its an excellent way to start selling with low risk, low start up fees.
the same way as many businesses that just sell directly on their website, so would you tell thsoe online shops to "get a real job"
bettyboo333 if you are buying in order to sell again for profit, you are a business and have to by law act as one, with returns policy, income tax, if you sell soemthing for free or an unused houshold item you dont as your not a business trader.
Sir, Be aware to report evry penny as profit made to the inland revenue and dss

the biggest problem i see isnt those that want to legally declare themseves as business seller on ebay and allthe legaliites involved in going rightfully self emplyed, but those that dont decare they are a business and buy and sell for a profit and in fact they are the decitefull ones to the inland revenue.
those that have an ebay business and get credits (monies due)( as poster swingaloo pointed out to me, yes money due to me) are in fact more honest than those that hide behind the face of kidding on they are a private seller and they dont make a profit on things they bought to sell again on ebay, it was mearly 50 brand new dvds i had lying about the house i found up the loft i sold ( i think not)

i mean an ebay entrupeneur, starting off and hopefully becoming a power seller, the beauty of online is you dont need thousands to buy a bricks and mortar shop , but can be very profitable in time, there is many powersellers on ebay that started out as private sellers.so those that have website retailing arent a proper business according to you.I take it you never buy anything online, but go to the high street on evry occasion.
some folk can get small business loans to sell online, to buy stock,
what your thinking is huge loans to buy premises
tesco started with two brothers from the surnames created tes and co, they started with a market stall, I know as i worked in tesco and learned that you dont need huge loans to start successfull businesses

how come you read about articles in the news where people have lost their jobs and rather be on he dole have say started up a tiny business on their last few weeks wages and maybe a princes trust laon or a governemtn start up grant into a thriving business be it may have take 2 yrs to succeed into something successfull. what if there is no 40 hr jobs in my area or too many applicants for those few jobs, surely it best to work at the ebay shop whilst you have no choice but to remain in your current 2o hr pt time job
