  • Thanks joozy,

It's not the end of the world obviously and my own fault for not being able to order on line during the day. I just mentioned I had a couple of codes to use and was cut short mid sentence. I didn't think to question it as I wanted the stuff anyway.

Thanks lovinglondon. From my experience though and for future reference, Joules do really want to keep your business and 'most' customer service staff are incredibly friendly and fall over themselves to be helpful. So, further to Welshchocolatelover's post, it might be worth calling them and asking them if they would honour your code and advise them that this is the second 'back order' you have had. I'm pretty sure they would sympathize and you never know what they will do until you ask. Couple of years ago, I made an order for a couple of items which after a week and half of waiting still hadn't arrived. On calling CS they told me it should arrive within the week. It was 2 weeks later when I next called CS, they were terribly apologetic about the delay and when they checked my order they found it all out of stock. Politely I told them it was unacceptable that they hadn't informed me earlier so a gesture of goodwill they sent me £40 in vouchers. So far I have found them to be faultless except in the way they handled the free tights glitch fiasco.

Just thought you'd appreciate an update; my caramel bag didn't arrive today. It turns out there has been a warehouse error and stock levels were incorrect. So after a pleasant call to a CS manager...I have switched to the emerald which is being delivered on a next day delivery, free of charge to my local store where I can pick it up to save me waiting in for the courier. They have very generously given me vouchers to use in store as a goodwill gesture.
I have noticed that the emerald bag is back on sale and available online for those who are interested...and quick!!! Hope this helps anyone out who has been disappointed! :D

Excellent! I just phoned and they said mine is now being picked so I should get it. My colleague (it's a gift for her) will be so pleased :j:j
For what it's worth (and I know it's personal choice!), the caramel bag did not look very caramel to me, more like a bright mustard yellow.
  • Oh goodie, I was after one of these bags and thought I'd missed it- managed to get it in emerald. Just wondering if the piccie on the website is a true reflection of its colour- looks more blue than emerald to me.

Thanks! You know I did um and ar over the emerald but as it came sooooo highly recommended by our welshchoc eater friend, how could I resist, especially at that price. To be honest the caramel would probably look dirty very quickly anyway. Interestingly though the new holborn bag online at £95 is now called 'lemon'!
Glad you managed to get your bags. Have you seen the price of them on Ebay (not that I'm selling mine...but you should look!)? We did well girls!

Nope, picture is not a true reflection of the colour - it's a teal colour. Hope you like it :-)

Oh that suits me better tbh- I have a red coat so anything too greeny and I'd look like a Christmas decoration:rotfl:

Lol - it's definitely not emerald green, don't worry! It's also a diff shape from the pic (not as box-y) - if you look at the pics of the full price Holburn bags they're much more true to life.
