I was wondering if anyone though a steam mop would be much use to me?

I can't afford a proper posh steam cleaner, but as downstairs is all open plan and hard flooring/vinyl, I get very annoyed with having to faff around with buckets and the like.

And if so, what sort of make would be best in your opinions?

At my local L1dl they're doing hand held steam cleaners for £14.99

I am feeling very tired this morning, we weren't in that late from our Burns supper but I didn't sleep too well. On the plus side I was talking to a friend who is a piper to see if he knew of any folk bands for our wedding and we may have found one :D his band :D they have been gigging for 3 months and he is the most amazing piper I know. I just want to hear what they do to make sure it is what we want but it means we only have one more thing to source for the wedding :D

I am off work until tonight so have some time to complete what I haven't done on these lists. My bathroom will be amazing by the end of today, I won't be cleaning the dirt away just freshening up from yesterday.

Morning all, dw on and kids fed. There now nearly ready for school. Rhys up once again, he does want food or changed so i think the little monkey is testing me. Hubby stayed up late so i think he'll sleep most of today. :(

Need to be in the town for an eye test at eleven and have a few messages to do. Then i'll crack on with the house.

Best go get ready for the school run....
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Morning campers. Well I’m up and about after a very rude awakening this morning. DH woke me up by putting the main light on in the bedroom and kindly telling me that we have a leak in the living room ceiling –!! Not what I wanted to hear at 4.30am this morning. Why did he feel the need to tell me, oh yes I know, so I could ring the insurance people and get them to send a plumber while he carried on getting ready for work. Why he couldn’t go in late I don’t know, no he needed me to do it.. Not good when I can barely stand without getting giddy..lol Gods knows what I sounded like on the phone as I was half asleep and I had to write down numbers too..!! Still the plumber is coming out between 8 and 10am this morning, that was the earliest they could get someone here..thank gods for emergency household insurance. Although it’s chinese water torture here listening to the drip of the 6 drips coming from the ceiling..lol Even having the radio up doesn’t drown it out..lol

So I am up, showered and dressed. I have even tidied the living room up as we are having the carpets done tomorrow and I don’t want them to come into a mess. I have moved the table where the water fell on, thankfully nothing has been damaged – it’s times like this when you realise a tidy house makes sense..:rotfl:

I have had the diagnosis from my Dr, as I got fed up with it and after my friend nagging me I got a cancellation and wandered up to see him. I have periphial vertigo..ugh!! Great, so I am limited with what I can do now for about 6 weeks, and I have to rest. Well my body tells me when I need to rest as I basically fall down when it has had enough. It’s weird having this as I feel like I am permanently drunk, or spaced out. Also I want the carousel to stop so I can get off.. If I move too quickly my brain has a bit of time before it catches up with my body.. Good news I suppose, is that I don’t get to wear my new varifocals at the weekend on Dr’s orders..lol. He said it is not a good idea getting used to them while I am dizzy as I will be dizzy enough getting used to them anyway. So once this vertigo thingy goes I can wear my glasses. DH is not too happy as he has forked out for the glasses thinking I will be wearing them at the weekend.. He said he could have saved money and bought them in a couple of months time.. Typical men!!! I’ve also, somehow, developed a sore ear – nothing that I can’t cope with though. Hopefully that will be sorted out tomorrow when I go and get them syringed, that will be an experience as I have never had my ears syringed before

Hugs and love to everyone that wants/needs them, especially Toots, LW, Diva and LL :)

Ok enough of my waffling, onto lists etc..
