    Oh dear.

I used to call my mother TPD - The Poison Dwarf. She got told this by FW1 when we were in court for custody of DD1. Her response on the witness stand thingy?

She peered down her glasses at the barrister and said 'I should think most 17 year old girls call their mothers something rude on occasions, don't you? The only difference here is that a man - supposedly old enough to know better - thinks that this is in any way relevant to my daughter's parenting skills, years later. Did you know she also used to call me She Who Must Be Obeyed in her letters to my eldest - you know, as in the John Mortimer books?'

    I'm sure the barrister wilted.

    And the judge smirked.

re the paperwork I do EXACTLY what AnWs does...right down to the instruction booklets folder - I have a box file I keep mine in. *Indicates behind self with thumb*
I also ALWAYS write the date of purchase on the instruction books and for big items staple the receipt to the instruction book. Just in case I need to invoke SoGA.;)

Emails decluttered and Mr T order done for tomorrow. :D

Time for me to head to bed, night all.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Re paperwork...we were talking about this last night and came to the conclusion that you can access pretty much everything online these days, so bank statements, phone/ mobile bills etc we figured we could get rid of everything as we can print it off if we ever need it. I know when DH reclaimed his bank charges he requested years worth of statements from them and they posted it all to him.
You need to be careful assuming that everything is available online. Download and save is a good idea. Mobile companies only keep detailed records for 13 months for example. Do not rely on companies to provide you with accurate data... review it when it first arrives, and keep a copy. Trust me, I see multinational organisations caught out for billions this way every day... they believe their suppliers' records will be accurate. They're not.
  • No flying today. Completely wiped and feel worthy of a standing ovation just for getting dinner, and half of that was a homecooked ready meal from the freezer.

Molina; well the injections didn't work at all and I got really bad, but then they thought my immune system may be fighting the injections so I was put on metho to depress my immnue system. It was beginning to work well but is now going backwards so they are upping my dose from this friday.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once
  • It's not an easy situation to cope with! Hugs to you and your DD!

My kids all went to a primary school with many children with 'problems'. Although it can be difficult there is a lot to be gained from mixing with many different children from homes where the norms and values are different ( tried to put that ethically!)

As long as the teacher is able to cope........ and support the other kids in the class....

I had words with a 5 yearold at school a few years ago - I had to tell her that swearing was not acceptable at school - she shrugged and said 'I'll just swear at 'ome them!'

Thank you, I do feel quite sorry for the little mite, she's 6 has been asked to leave one school and in just over a week has gained a reputation amongst the children for being naughty. It's a small village primary and on the whole the children are very well behaved - hopefully they will be a good influence her!

The teacher is very good and I have total faith that she will deal with the situation firmly.

Ironing basket empty (for now). Sainsbugs delivered though the lack of pizzas has meant a Dominos order (not very money saving) and girls in bed. Must get on with my patchwork.

    Love and hugs to all

Just about to go to bed with my book but has anyone got any advice on how to get rid of little black flies - midges - as there seems to be a few in the house that I see at different times and my arms and legs are covered in bites.
