Very late start today as i was out this morning but i have done todays flying, bathroom and toilet, and washed mats. WM and TD x2 and put away. So actually doing better than i thought i would. Hope tomorrow is living room as i have missed daily's in there today. Having a wood burner is a joy but it does create more dust. DW emptied and now on again and kitchen s&s so pleased about that. Hugs to all who need them x

Back from taking DS1&3 to cricket nets. Just having a cuppa and then I need to get DS3 to bed and I have one more run to do, collecting DS2 from the station. He is at the Arsenal game with DH but DH has his bike. DH has to pack once he gets in, clothes all ironed and ready. DS3 is not going to be happy about him going away again so soon :(

  • Hi everyone.

Flying's been relatively easy over the last couple of days. I straightened up the kitchen on Sunday night while DH was talking to a friend who'd popped in (guess what? I wasn't mortified at the state of the house when he arrived - that's a first!) So I was very pleased when the kitchen was first up on the list for this week. And as I only did the bathroom on Sunday, today's list's not been too bad either! Just as well considering everything else that I've got on...

Monday ~ Kitchen, Utility and Dining areas
    All Done!:j
    Tuesday ~ Bathroom & Toilet
All Done (except windows which I'll do on the weekend)! :j

Wednesday is DH's day - I hope he gets the spare room! :D

    Good night everyone...

Flying advice required to clean up my sink – it’s some sort of plastic I think – with a sort of rough texture. The one thing I seem to remember from the instructions (which I can’t find) is that I mustn’t use bleach on it – but it’s a light colour, and, apart from needing a good scrub anyway, is stained in some areas. Any tips?

Mrs B, my mother has a sink that sounds a bit like yours and she was at the end of her tether because she couldn't get it clean. DH emailed the manufacturer and they recommended "Barkeeper's Friend" - you can get it from Lakeland but it's about half the price if you've got a local branch of Home Bargains you can get it from). Mum was chuffed with the results and we now always keep some in for more difficult cleaning jobs (of which I have plenty. :D)

Hi all, been a busy day and busier evening.

Delivery came early doors so off to work I went. Long day at office as certan events were cancelled so I got home quite late and had a long work related phone call. Didn't get off the phone until 7.30pm.

Anyways, lovely hubby had set to trying to clear the mountain of washing up in the kitchen.

I then set to clearing the crapola from the dining room.

We all played lets fill a binbag each which we successfully did, in went cardboard, wrapping paper that was torn and crumpled, old bits of tat, alsorts.

Results 2 huge binbags rammed full of rubbish.

Rearranged dining room and then cleared dining table.

Loads of stuff redistributed to either upstairs or cupboards.
Then hoovered and swept both dining room and kitchen.

It looks so much better, I love it.

Now, after eating tea, it was a late one, I'm now relaxing with a small glass of red as I feel I deserve a little one.

Hope all those who are not having a good day have a better day tomorrow. xx
