Hi
Basically, DD has carefully painstakingly wrote a complaint letter in her neatest writing to Toys R us freepost address in Gateshead its more about the principle for her as she was really annoyed that they made her little sis cry......
although I offered to rant and rave to them on the phone or via email she seems adamant that she does it herself. What i'd hate to see is for her not to get a reply especially as she's gone to such an effort writing in out and her little sis has attached a drawing to explain the incident :rotfl:
Does anyone know what Toys R us are like for replying at the head office?
Thanls

I'm intrigued - what actually happened?"Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0

I have complained in writing and via email and not received a reply! That was about 6 mths ago so plenty of time to respond.
Toys r us are useless at c/s both in store and at h/o!0 -
My local store is the most unwelcoming place ever! Potholes everywhere in the car park, when you go in you are supposed to put your bag in a locker so you don't steal stuff, there is about 10 tills and always only 1 is open. Horrible place.0

Don't forget about them blocking those other 9 unmanned tills with trolleys so it's a pain finding a clear path to actually leave. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
Good luck with writing to the Gateshead branch of Toys r Us, i happen to know one of the "lucky" christmas staff that were good enough to get kept on and this staff member doesnt even have a GCSE in Maths.
And the ones i know that didnt get kept on i want to severely and brutally beat with a rusty spade, and i knew them in a "friendlier, social capacity" rather than a working one. that should probably give you an inkling.0 -
I once had a temp job in TRU which was supposed to be temp to perm. After 2 days I walked out - dreadful company, nasty people, horrible Ts & Cs. The job was offered to me 4 times over by different agencies after then and as far as I know they finally withdrew it as they couldnt fill it/keep anyone in it!0

Well, DD had been gathering money and giftcards to save up to buy L0 this all singing and dancing sparkly tv, Barbie I think..... Anyway we arrived at the store on Lo bday to buy the T.v and I got a call about last min arrangements for her party, I didn't want her to overhear so I sent them both to the TV aisle while I lurked in the one next to it, partially its my fault as I shouldn't have done this, but I figured it'd be alright as I could still see them. Lo seemed extremely happy when she saw the tv, and wanted to see if what her friend said was true > (that the on button had some sprinkling water function or something equally as dumb :rotfl:
So she reached over to press the button, the Tv was on and she switched it off. I was fuming later about this, because a TOYS r us member started really shouting at her (LO is only 6) and told she was a silly little girl and couldnt she see her was testing it!
DD equally as fiery, jumped in to protect her little sis, at first she reasoned politely but sternly saying that couldnt he ask her politely. But the staff member seemed to lose his rag completely and she followed suit
To cut out the rest of the details, by the time I had cut off my call and hurried over to them, i was told I'd better leave so i took both girls to the car and asked them. When I heard, I was ready to cause a massive scene as they ruined her bday!
DD was really humiliated and begged me not to make a show and that she'd sort it herself so she wrote a polite yet strong worded letter.....
From the replies I'm getting on here, me thinks I better prepare them both for not getting a response....:(
Thanks everyone :T0 -
This sounds really silly, but DD wrote to the freepost address in Gateshead not to the store. Am I right in assuming it won't actually go the store but to some other department place?0
