    Oh. Damn. Would it? ;)

    The light is only there for thick fog, when there is no-one behind you. Once there is someone behind, you switch off. Having the bong there keeps the driver alert to the presence of the light.

    So, maybe 5 minutes in a year.

    I have to say as well that a bugbear of mine is the use of (twin) fogs in spray conditions. Such poor visibility tends to obscure the brake lights -- and if the high-level one isn't working/isn't present, it's asking for trouble.
