I would recommend proper maternity clothes, especially for bottoms. I'm living in maternity leggings from h&m which are really really comfy. It makes such a difference not having a waistband across your stomach!
Also got a few tops from new look and one from George at asda which are nice but I got my usual size and I'm 20 weeks now and they are still huge on me! Primark stretchy vests and tshirts are brill on me for now, but I won't take the other ones back because I'm sure I will grow into them!
With the food thing, I think as long as you are stupid about it like eating out of date eggs you should be fine. However DH is of the opinion that one taste will kill me so I'm under strict instructions to follow the rules!
(I did have some pastrami the other day tho, ssshhhhh lol)
My belly button is doing strange things and its really freaking me out! Feels really bruised and has gone really shallow. It's scaring me
Hope everyone's well x0 -
I eat eggs past their date too.. so long as they don't float in a jug of water they are fine.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Hello everyone - hope you're all doing well!
Congratulations on a little girl Baleb!
After a few flutters last week Wriggler is spending most of the time dancing a jig in my tummy! Hubby felt it for the first time last night and is on cloud nine, eldest says she felt something yesterday but I'm not entirely sure she did and youngest hasn't felt a thing although she is desperate to. I was talking to one of the school mums y'day and admiring her bump, she looks fab, then it turns out she is due 3 days after me!!! Was out for coffee with friends this morning and had one commenting on how much weight I've lost, told her I'm 20 weeks pregnant and she was stunned. Ah well, long may it last - I doubt I'll be getting told that in June.
I have my scan on Tuesday but we won't be finding out what we're having, I'm convinced its a girl although our girls are sure baby is a boy so we've been saying he a lot.Norn Iron Club member 273:beer:0 -
Still struggling with the sickness, i wish i could eat turns out baby bean doesnt like chocolate, apple juice, peaches or yogurt
Ricecakes, salted hula hoops and water are fine.
Such an awesome diet.
Not eating properly leaves me worn out most of the time.Sometimes i like to imagine that im living on the breadline as a single mum with 3 children to feed and clothe, bills to pay and very little time to myself........ then i wake up and realise im a princess with prince charming by my side and a lovely white castle........ oh wait

This is how I feel too :-( My problem is my little bean changes his/her mind on a daily basis what he/she likes ie I've gone right of all meat, except sausages for some reason, until yesterday when bean objected to toad in the hole for dinner. And eating mints has helped with the nausea, well, it did until this afternoon. It's like 1 step forward, 2 steps back some days! Am 13+5 today, really hope this wears off soon as I'm exhausted! All I want is to be able to tuck into a big plate of dinner!0 -
*hugs* Hopefully it will pass for you both soon! It feels like it's never going to end at the time! I was ill until about 16 weeks and then once I hit the 16 week mark I felt better and better over the next week and by 17 weeks it was completely gone! It is so draining at the time, but you will come out the other side and feel better!0

Had an appointment with the midwife yesterday and got to hear the baby's heartbeat. It was a much more exciting experience than I'd imagined! Can't wait for scan now!0
