Hey guys, got my 20 week scan at 4pm today. I thought I was excited but now getting a bit nervous. I keep thinking I hope he's still in there, which is stupid considering I felt kicks this morning...
Just wish it wasn't so late in the day! 4pm man really??!0 -
I'm sure all will be fine.. I refuse late appointments mine are always 10-12ish otherwise I couldn't possibly get the 5 minute drive to collect the children from school at 3pmLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Hi all, just popping in to say hello from the 12 week thread. Had scan ten days ago but baby was too curled up for them to measure properly! (and I have a tilted uterus which apparently makes it harder to scan)...but went back this morning and baby was in much better position, so am 13w 3days, due 20 sept.
have to have a consultant appointment in a few weeks due to me having had previous problems with my ovaries, not quite sure why I need it now tbh, as obviously the one I do have is working!0 -
Just a quick update, all went well at my scan and we are having a girl :-D0

Hello!...and Goodbye...:rotfl:
I just realised that I never properly said bye bye. I was 24 weeks on Sat so have moved up to the next thread. I'll still be lurking on here for a bit to see how you are all getting on though!
See you on the big thread!0 -

Great news Baleb! How exciting
I've finally told work. It's good to have it off my chest.
I seriously need to buy some new clothes. At 18 weeks I haven't bought any new clothes at all and am running out of clothes that fit. Hoping to find time for shopping on the weekend. Any advice on what to look for? Do I go next size up or proper maternity gear?
In other news I've started eating runny eggs again as I've decided the risk of salmonella in British eggs is very low. Anyone else breaking the rules?0 -

I never knew you couldn't eat runny eggs so carried on regardless.

But for work I've bought proper maternity clothes. I think they are just more flattering and make you look pregnant as opposed to fat. That's just my opinion though
I got some t-shirts from New Look which were good value £12.99 for three.
Trousers I got from Next - £22 for under bump waist band. Really comfy. In other news I've started eating runny eggs again as I've decided the risk of salmonella in British eggs is very low. Anyone else breaking the rules?
Last time I snuck some Pate. But that's about it. I'm a bit of a goody two shoes.Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
Oh and yum yums, unless you live in a major city you might be disappointed in lack of maternity wear in shops.
Most of the shops round here have stopped selling their rangesH&M still does. But New Look and Next I had to order in. M&P does (but it's pricey).
If you're looking for long vests for wearing underneath tops, Primark have some great ones. I got them in my next size up for now and the next size from there for the summer. They are something like £1.75 - 2 each.Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -

You can if they have lions on..
And I eat whatever I want .. they are guidelines not laws.. I'm yet to have any adverse effects from any food other than 3 day old takeaway rice kept in the microwave in summer...LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
