Moving over to this thread as officially 13 weeks today.

How are people finding their clothes? My jeans & work trousers are far too tight. I got some maternity work trousers from New Look last week, and ordered some mat jeans from Next online but its so hard to know what style to go for without being able to try them on. When friends have been pg i know they've got good stuff from Dorothy Perkins and Next, but both have moved to online-only maternity collections now. Annoying!

Just unlurking to recommend Mamas and Papas maternity jeans. I have two pairs (one over and one under bump!) and I LOVE them. I also have an over bump pair from Debenhams, and they're pants :o M&P ones are a bit more expensive, but well designed and made of proper denim, plus they have the buttons & elastic to adjust the waistband so you can make them fit really well. I bought the underbump pair the day of my 12 week scan as I couldn't do up any of my other trousers by then, and they've been comfy throughout, but now that I have a definite bump (30 weeks here!) the over bump ones are great as well.

Shall I do a little list! *grins*

Everybody knows I love a list!!!
    Baby 2b born March 2013! :j:j:j
  • :Wavey 2b: and everyone else :)

I'm 16+1 and had my second MW appt on Wednesday. All is well and baba had a heartbeat like a galloping horse, which is meant to mean it's a girl....or a boy... :D

Couple of slight niggles, leukocytes in urine = ? UTI and high urinary ketones, which probably means I am not eating enough or often enough, everything else was ok. She has sent off a urine sample for culture and I might need antibiotics.

I also had my DS risk back and I am 1 in 15000, or something like that, so low risk

And I can't stop looking at baby stuff.....

2b- a list would be good, thanks. My 20 (ish) week scan is the 11th Oct

anmarj - sorry you are having a tough time, I hope it all works out ok for you
  • hows everyone's weekends going? today hasnt been so bad, although its been very warm here! nice relaxing evening in now :D

    Hey everyone :)

2b - a list sounds fab if you are keen!

Millie - I have the ketones as well in my urine. I think it's the first time in my life someone's told me I'm not eating enough :rotfl:

ellie - glad you've had a good day. I've been sick again today which is most annoying, but still managed to be out and about so had a good one :) Enjoy your evening.

    :D

The weather is glorious here- hot and sunny with just a bit of a breeze. We braved Ikea this morning, as needed a random table, so I had a look at the baby stuff while I was there and got a few bits. We then (powered by meatballs- him) ventured into Mamas and Papas to have another look at prams, but rapidly gave up again because we find pram shopping confusing!

We also had a look at cots. I want one of those bedside ones (a bit like co-sleeping, whereby the baby has his/her own space, but the cot sits right next to the bed, so you can reach out for baby when needed, but they are £££. I did read somewhere that people had adapted one of the smaller Ikea ones and not added one side, so that you get the same result, but rather cheaper. I think we need to do some more research. Saw a change table we liked too for downstairs
