    We've got
Travel system - buggy carrycot and carseat
    Moses basket and stand
    Crib
    Bath and TT bowl
A few baby toiletries - bath etc
    2 x newborn 1 x up to 11lb packs of nappies
    About ten babygros
    Few packets of wipes

Of the above list, the only things we've bought new are the packs of nappies and wipes, and they were only bought with coupons!

I will buy a new mattress for the crib and moses basket, and OH wants to buy sleeping bags new - I'd be happy with second hand but it's the only thing he's asked for.

I will be buying a set of reusable nappies, and I'll be going to car boot sales for a few more babygros and scratch mits and suchlike.

My Dad is building a cot bed for us, and lots of people are knitting for us.

It's looking as if the only thing this baby will have new are it's parents :rotfl:

I'm enjoying the challenge of seeing how cheaply I can get everything - we've spent less than £250 so far which I'm thrilled about. When I first found out I was pregnant I did a bit of a budget in my head for new stuff, then decided I'd rather take every second of maternity I'm entitled to, so that's what our budget will be blown on. The travel system was where most of our money went - we bought a Quinny that's in amazing condition and I'm confident it will do another baby if we have one.

I have 1 pack of newborn nappies, free with coupons. That is all. I have my 20 week scan tomorrow as well! lol. You are all starting to make me feel a tad unprepared. ha ha

I haven't got anything yet, although l have a bassinet and a cot, just not at home. I will have to start making room and getting things organised, can't rely on dh for that..!

I have to admit I only have stuff because people around me have given me it, or because I've seen bargains too good not to grab. The crib I bought was in a charity shop- I was actually there buying books and saw it in the corner. It's wooden and very traditional looking, and was under a tenner so I couldn't leave it!

I haven't done any dedicated baby shopping apart from a bit of a browse on ebay now and again.

Just remembered another thing I've been given, an avent breast pump - given to me by my best friend who bought it new so not as icky as it sounds lol :rotfl:

I've benefited from having a best friend who already has two small children and is not having any more, so she has passed on lots to me, and also has a big circle of mummy mates who also have stuff to pass on.

I think if you're not fussed about having second hand stuff it's worth letting it be known that you're grateful for any donations.

My mum emailed me earlier and said that she's been given a moses basket, bath and a bouncer chair from someone at work.

I know that second hand stuff isn't for everyone, but for us it's been great.

Unfortunately for me, I work at a very fertile school and have procreated at the wrong time for hand me downs. lol.
Still, we are going to my sis inlaws tomorrow after the scan (all being well) to pilfer around their house. Their little one is coming up for 3 now and so they want to get rid of some stuff. :D

Last time I put a notice on facebook that the week I started maternity leave I was driving around to collect donations. I pretty much got everything. Now just need the mattress etc (we sent the last one back for a refund). Although Lady_boyd will be wearing boys clothes for the 1st three months unless I can be persuaded to get something new.

Will get an outfit for coming home so I am keeping an eye out for a nice green and white stripy babygrow.

Nathan was dressed in blue and Lincoln was dressed in red.

Kitten, Mothercare has some lovely pale green stuff, sort of mint, don't think they have stripey but they have a nice one with a little bear on. If it's bright green you're after Next is your place x
