Glad the scan went well scottishchick. Like ikkle said, the time in between now and your next scan will go fairly quickly, especially if you see the midwife at 16 weeks and get to hear the heartbeat.
My next scan is on Thursday but I will only be 18+4 then so I expect I'll be more impatient at the other end of it as I'll have to wait longer til I meet Bean.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

I have my 20 week scan on Wednesday when I'll be 20+2. Since I started feeling kicks on Thursday I'm really reassured and very excited about the scan. CANNOT wait!

  • Hello!

I've not been around at all since joining the thread as started a new job about 3 weeks ago and I just don't seem to find the time for anything.

By the time I get home, cook and eat dinner, I'm too tired for anything but watch a bit of tv and bed. I thought I'd be less tired now (I'm 15+2) but it doesn't seem the case :(

Anyway, not much to report here. I've had to buy a couple of maternity trousers as my belly is getting a bit bigger (not quite a bump yet) which was quite exciting. Unfortunately it turned out that 1 of them is too big for me so I'll just have to make do for the moment. I'm a bit reluctant to buy any more mat clothes as I have no idea how big I'll be and don't want to waste money.

Apart from that, not much else going on. My next mw appointment is not due for another couple of weeks but I don't feel very pregnant. The growing belly and the odd abdominal stretch/discomfort are always there to remind me though (as if I'd forget!).

Anyway, Im glad peoples scans have gone well and I hope everything is ok with everyone.

I'll try to keep up with thread :)

Congrats Scottishchick, glad it went well. Hopefully the next 8 weeks will go quickly too. I only have 4 weeks until the next scan and it seems sooo long to go.

Did you get a picture for your dad?

I got a picture but it was very disappointing, didn't look anything like a baby, not like most if them I've been looking at on Baby & bump. I was supposed to email it to my OH for him to see but I didn't bother. Hopefully the next one will be better.

Soooo what has everyone bought so far?

We've ordered our cot this weekend (early I know but OH's nan wanted to buy it for us and is only in the country this weekend, and then October which would be too late), so we ordered the Westbury cotbed http://www.mothercare.com/Mothercare-Westbury-Cot-Bed-Antique/dp/B001FAFBEO?ie=UTF8&ref=sr_1_6&nodeId=44362031&sr=1-6&qid=1335214089&pf_rd_r=1Q5GCJF2SVH65H30JGYQ&pf_rd_m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_i=44362031&pf_rd_p=231490867&pf_rd_s=related-tab-3-5 and its due to be delivered in the next few days.

We've also sold our double bed from one of our spare rooms, so that we have space, and I ordered a baby bouncer last night too (reduced to £20 on the mamas and papas website). We also have our moses basket and a couple of little baby grows and I really cant wait to get started on the nursery but have decided to decorate the bathroom first!

I'm 17 weeks on Thursday and feeling quite stressed at the minute, mainly due to work and not feeling the girl I am training is actually that interested in what Im trying to teach her. It upsets me as I dont want her to mess up whilst i am off and feel like if she cant do anything it reflects badly on me as a trainer.

Anyway ... Ive got the midwife on Wed for my 16 week appointment, and then my 20 wks scan on May 21st. I am DESPERATE to find out what we're having so really hope the baby co-operates :)

A lot of it is through coupons from the baby clubs and stuff hun I've only spent 48p on nappies and £3.xx on wipes so far.

Some of the other bits were bought while our work ran a promotion where we got double staff discount so made sense to buy then and it be cheaper and then the other bits I tend to add a baby item to the shopping trolley when we do our weekly shop.
