ecoelle, the first movements are meant to feel like little flutter, bit like bubbles int he tummy. I think it is meant to be around 18-20 ish weeks , but then about 14 weeks your baby is around 3 inches, and every one is different. so perhaps you have. you won't feel anythign from the outside as baby is nicely nestled in your womb, but it won't be long till you do. and when you do it will be amazing to watch, even it a little bit biazzre at times when yousee the shape of the foot sticking out the side, lol

i felt movements with my 3rd baby around 14 weeks. i'm 16 +2 and nothign from this one yet, lol.lazy so and so.

Just seen that Angel has her NT report and bits and pieces, all i have is my scan pics and the big white booklet the midwife gave me. I know there is a file at the hospital but the midwife won't have that at my appointment will she? Should i have copies of the notes as well as the hospital?

Congrats to Angel and Sequeena, good news all round!

Ecoelle - I had my NT scan done same place as my dating scan - was private but after my dating scan - 11 weeks 5 days, did not feel I could get the NT scan done in time as the local hospital - I couldn't get into my doctors for a week! And got the results over the phone 2 days later with paper copy of the report last friday.

really wishing it would get warmer out, it is so gorgeous out and i've got lots of summer maternity bits i wanna were, lol.

Well i'm feeling very energic and want to cut our lawn.it is so big tho even when not preg it take about 2hours, so i'm thining i'll do it over a couple of days so i don't get told off :rotfl: but hubby has the big 50 m extention lead with him, so i can't use the electric lawn mower. so i'm now debating weather to use the petrol one.

oh boy that a fun bit of equipment. it not the normal family household petrol mower you buy from b&Q , we have a heavy duty one, which has a big roller on back so it give you perfect line's. don't get me wrong it is fantastic, but even on hare mode i'm running behind it,:rotfl: and me trying to start it , is very funny as my arm isnt quite long enough to pull the start cord fully out. ah all fund and games. after writing this, i think i might just borrow my mums extention lead. i'm a wimp.

well midwife not phoned to make an appointment, so i guess i'm not meant to be seeing her tomoz. i really hate being so forgetful.

I was wondering a similar thing ecoelle. At my 12 week scan they stuck a page in my book but it didn't have much on it. I know the sonographer (is that the word?) found something on one of my ovaries because she mentioned it and
I asked if that was it on the screen. She said they would just have to check it at the 20 week scan. I saw her measuring it too but there is no mention of it in the page in my mat book so I guess there are some other records somewhere. They should be shared with the midwife but I thought the whole point of having the big book was that everything was in 1 place. I dunno. I'm going to trust that they have it all under control.

Jcr - don't get the big mower out. You might strain something when your trying to maneuvre it about.

At my first appointment with the midwife I got my blue notes book - this is where she wrote all the initial details she took at my booking visit - i.e. medical stuff - how many babies I'd had etc...
These notes I have to carry with me to every antenatal appointment anywhere and they are updated (the scan reports are added, blood tests, etc... it is a complete record of my pregnancy)
This is what we have down here but it sounds like it could be different in other regions.

Same here except my notes are purple - the MW said as we have appointments in so many different places it is easier for the woman to be in charge of her own notes.

And mine are orange. Did you all also get a big nhs information book? It kooks like it's for all nhs and not area specific. The midwife told me to always look in there first and not search online!

Maybe the cyst was below a threshold so didn't get noted. They probably check ovaries at each scan anyway.

Trouble is I have forgotten to bring my notes along to an appointment with the consultant before now - I blame pregnancy hormones! :o
