  • Congratulations on pink team amymo, so what is the blue to pink ratio at the moment? We should do a list. Just had a couple of take your breathe away kicks, maybe the baby wasn't kean on my choice of dinner, either that or had hiccups what ever it is its strong! :j

I have had a few of those today Laura, my poor boss just looked quizically because it was all I could think about in our staff meeting, little boots to the right, scan confirmed that baby's feet are where I thought they were, there's no way she could punch that strong! Can't imagine what it must be like when they're strong enough to feel on the outside, when I put my hand there she stops!

Snoopy, glad your BP is better now, make sure you take it easy!!

Amymo, I can just about feel my baby's kicks on the outside now but not sure that DH would, I think I only feel them because I've felt them inside too if that makes sense? DH has seen one make my tummy move though!

My cotbed bedding set is in the post. i'm sooo relieved! It had sold out on mothercare and I was gutted as both me and DH LOVED it! It was in stock in one of their stores thats not too far from me but would have meant an hours drive and crossing a toll bridge so I was very please to find one on amazon for £40 less than the mothercare price! I was then convinced that I'd get an email saying they'd made a mistake and it was out of stock but its on its way. Mum is going to go to mothercare when she goes xmas shopping and get me a few other matching bits to go with it.

    Lots of great news here!

Enjoy Team Pink Amymo! And Snoopy - good that your BP is behaving better!

I am 14 weeks, so hope the energy levels improve soon. We are going to visit my parents in 10 days, and I could really do with not sleeping all day long. The part of the problem is that I can't sleep well at night these days with the trips to the loo and not being able to fall asleep after. I just need someone to knock me out for a while, so I can get a good sleep. Sit down on the sofa last night after dinner to watch Masterchef and fell asleep within 10 minutes. Woke up, it was 9.30! Dose off again whilst thinking i really should get up and go to bed, and the next thing I know it is after 10pm already! Maybe that is it, maybe I should just sleep on the sofa???

Got my flu jab today - will see how I react to that. After few previous vaccinations (not the flu) I ended up with the fever and all the other symptoms of the cold/flu. so will see what happens this time. If I am honest, I would love a few days not having to go to work (ok, do work, as I work from home few days a week). Just getting a good rest, and sorting everything here, as with my energy levels at all time low the house looks like a tip! (No help from OH to tidy up, even better - he converted the second downstairs room in 'throw it all there' room, and there is his suitcase from the trip 2 months ago, that he still hasn't sorted!

hi ladies, i'm 15 weeks preggers with my second kiddo. i'm finding the pregnancy much easier the second time round. hopefully i can have a home water birth this time but we will have to hire a doula (birth companion, £500!!!) to help look after my 18 month old during labour as we live far from family and friends mainly work full time... later on in this pregnancy i'm going to join a pregnancy yoga class and will listen to my hypnobirthing cds to prepare for the birth (gulp). i think i will stop work at 35 weeks (as i work away from home and am scared of going into labour far from home) but i'm not entirely sure of the dates yet. i haven't told work yet but will tell them after the new year.

Ginvzt, I don't know if it'll help you but have you tried going for a walk for 30-60minutes in the afternoon/early evening before dinner?

I found it quite difficult to do the first few times because I just want to sleep in the afternoons but last week I was visiting my parents and ended up walking outside for a chunk of the afternoon while I was waiting for them to finish work.

I slept amazingly well that night so ended up doing the same the day after and it seems to work for me. I also try not to have anything to drink within the hour before bedtime to reduce the trips to the loo.

    I'm 14 weeks too :)

    Congratulations jclm :)
Eek about the cost of a birthing companion, is there no way you can sweet talk a family member to take a couple of days off work and come down to help?

I'm not having a home birth due to health issues though I'm tempted to request it just to see the look on my obstretician's face ;)

My friend's 24 weeks and started pregnancy yoga a few weeks ago and thinks it's really good, I'm going to see if there's any classes I can get to later though it may be difficult because I don't drive.

I cannot not drink anything in the evening, as even at night I wake up with the thirst and the throat as dry as Sahara desert. When I go the the office, i have a walk from the office back to the station, about 10-15 min and then another 10-15min pacing the platform waiting for the train (longer if the train is later, which is not rarely). Also, with the weather we are having, I am not looking forward to go outside if I can avoid it... Have to collect a couple of parcels today and the visit to GP surgery, as well as some shopping (OH conveniently forgot yesterday), so will be going out. I might take out the Wii fit this evening and try and do something. I need my energy back!!!!!
