Is anyone else finding they're really thirsty? I never normally feel thirsty at all unless it's very hot or I've been doing lots of exercise. now I'm REALLY thirsty most of the time. I've even had to get up and get a drink during the night a few times!!

I'm slightly concerned about gestational diabetes!!
  • Hi,

Househunting is stressful, but fingers crossed, we think we have now found somewhere. It is a lovely detached house - needs a bit of work decoration wise, but they don't have a problem with that, and we prefer to be able to put our own stamp on it.

It is close, available immediately, and looks very promising, going back tonight for a second look and if we decide "yes", then we can secure it tonight, JUST!!! Going to be hard for the next 2 weeks to live until pay day, but we will do it.

Just got to pack everything again now, and OH will have to do a lot more lifting and lugging, bless him, I feel really bad for him!

I have been very thirsty, but blood tests are all still coming back fine, so have stopped worrying now. Just babies way of telling me to get more fluids down my neck!

Going to be 17 weeks on Monday - I so can't wait to feel it move, but know it is likely to be a long while yet as I am deffo plus size!! x x

Laura Most places will keep your pram and won't deliver until you want it. Well we were told by M&P and Mothercare that they'd do this :)

    Hi Laura,

We ordered really early on - too excited lol.

We paid £109 deposit in September, £400 in October, and have £200 to pay in November, December and January. (We ordered a lot of other stuff too - furniture etc. Then they will deliver in Feb half term - we picked the date. As long as you are paid up 4 weeks before delivery I think that is ok, I am due late April, so won't be hanging around too long then. x x

Gilly - I so agree with the pram shopping. The thought of trekking out and spending all those hours in the shops would kill me too. We ordered in near end of Oct for delivery the week before xmas, but spent about 5/6 weeks before that shopping around :)

Oh, the cot I ordered on Tuesday is coming today. How quick! I'm not complaining though, as again we can get it built before I'm huge and hopeless :rotfl:

Off for my 28w MW appointment this afternoon. Hubby's hoping that she uses the doppler again, he enjoyed that at the 25w appointment.... aw :)

    Hi all,

We have got the Mothercare my choice in lime green as we thought it was a unisex colour, it has the 3 wheel chasis, car seat and carrycot which converts to a buggy later. We are both really tall and the big selling feature was the height as well as the adjustable handle, we do a lot of country walking and beach walking and it is sturdy, so won our vote. When we put it on our baby plan, there was quite a lot of money off, so think we got it all including cosy toes and parassol and rain cover for about £350!!! x

If you do a lot of walking, especially on the beach and on rugged paths you would probably benefit from a sling. You might still need your pram for around town type stuff but for me and especially because I use public transport lots I hardly used my pram at all. A sling suited my lifestyle much more and like you I like walking in the country and a sling or structured baby carried is best for this (although I like slings or wraps because they hold baby closer and you can really adjust them to spread the weight much better). If you want any more info about slings just ask, I spent a lot of time researching them and have owned about 5 and want to buy another as a treat for myself when the next one arrives :D

Strange you should say that, as a sling is a purchase planned for after pay day, my problem is that I am very big, size 24 ish already, and am worried about being embarassed in the shop when I try them and they don't do up! lol. But I do desperately want one, so yes any pointers would be very gratefully received.

Oh and one piece of good news to share, we secured the house last night, move 2 weeks today. I HATE MOVING. But it is a nicer house, and I have decided to look on it as a blessing in disguise, (lets see how long that lasts). x x
