4nnabella - chuck that clock over here. I need to speed up time here too. Say 24th December so I don't miss xmas :rotfl:

I would *love* to miss out the next three months and wake up on 24th December, especially as that would mean I've only got three days left at work before my three weeks annual leave and then maternity kick in! :D 68 working days left to go!

    Question!!!

I've been doing some reading, and read that a baby should wear a vest under most items of clothing. But when googling vests, bodysuits come up. Are they the same thing?

So you'd dress baby in a bodysuit, with sleepsuit over it, or long sleeve babygrow. And are sleepsuits and long sleeve babygrows the same thing?

I asked this a few weeks ago, yeah bodysuits are vests and the sleepsuits are babygro's (but can't call them that I think someone said as babygro is a brand name). Just check out the photo before you add to basket, so you know what you're buying ;)

    Happy Shopping......

Ah, thanks! What confused me is that John Lewis sell normal baby vests, the ones without poppers, so wasn't sure if I should put them under clothing or the bodysuits, but I suppose either then.

I've been looking out for baby grow's or (sleep suits or whatever they call them these days!) in toweling material. Has anybody seen them anywhere? I can only find cotton. When my Mum had my younger brother (13 years ago) all his baby grow's were toweling and I would really like to get some. Any ideas??

Also any recommendations for a grow bag for a February born baby? This is really the only thing I still need to get and I don't know where to start, what tog etc??

I got some towelling sleep suits but they were in a bundle from eBay. I'll run upstairs and see if they've got a tag in that says where they're from... I want to say Mothercare, be right back! :D

ETA - I thought right, they are Mothercare, the label also says 'set of 3' so they appear to have come in a pack. They're in good nick but obviously no idea how old they are...

  • The best piece of advice i was ever given by a midwife about dressing my babes was.....they only ever need 1 more layer than you do. so a vest (bodysuit), a sleepsuit/babygro, then a cardi should be fine in the home as you`re going to be having the heating on that time of year anyway! At night, the sleepbags are brilliant, I only had them with DD3, b4 that was struggling to keep sheets/blankets on everynight! HTH x
