Hey ladies, hope you are all well, sorry to hear some of you are feeling rubbish, my sinus infection has gone so feeling much better

ALTHOUGH, this morning I had to get up at 5.50 am ( on my day off ! ) to drop OH off at train station for work and on way home I had to pull over and be sick at the side of the road, felt so shameful as there was not even a bin and I had no carrier bags or anything.. went back home and had some breakfast bisctuits and then went back to bed...

bought my first maternity item at the weekend from H&M, they didn't have much but got a denim sleeveless shirt dress type thing.

My stomach feels like it's expanded so much in the last few days, here's a pic...

I had the flu a few weeks ago and am still coughing a bit, didn't get round to having the jab. Plus I've been advised to get a whooping cough jab, I'm not a big fan of having vaccines myself (just an instinctive feeling) but I know they are life savers.

Frankie from The Saturdays has a lovely big bump! Can't imagine carrying such a large weight in front of me but I guess that joy is to come (and I'll be so grateful in case fate is listening!)

SJlou - I've done yoga for nearly 3 years now but I'm really struggling with my normal class. I think it's time for me to find a pregnancy based class. I don't want to lose any kind of muscle tone or fitness as I'm sure I'll need it for the birth. Not that I'm a fit and slim person, but I'm not able to do anything much at the moment with the fatigue and backache.

I know we're supposed to have the whopping cough vaccine, but are we supposed to have the flu jab too?

Con1888 - I've very nearly vomited by the side of the road. One time was so awful as I was driving, couldn't pull over due to being on a flyover, and coughing/retching so much that I thought I might crash and had saliva all down my top. Not my finest moment.

Lushlifesaver - good luck with the driving. My sister restarted her lessons and passed her test when pregnant. She did really well and it's so handy to be mobile with the children.

AFM - what a difference a day makes. I felt well yesterday but today it feels like the baby is too low down and doesn't fit in there. I was waddling and had horrid backache all day. Very uncomfortable and achey. Is this what happens just before the '20 week pop' or is it stretching pains?

Jox - just seen your post. Wow your bump looks great. Non-one would know I'm pregnant really it's just my whole lower torso is a bit bigger.
Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!

Lucky you for having such a clever friend Lush! :) My Mum is still working on the jumper she started knitting for my nephew when my SIL was PG this time last year! Good job we didn't take her up on her offer to knit us all jumpers this Christmas or we'd have been disappointed! ;) I think my MIL is busy knitting booties although she's keeping all of her little projects a secret ATM! :)

Is there a reason why you and you OH can't get out for a date night soon? We got out of the habit of going out for meals etc as we found it getting more and more expensive, but we're making an effort to get out more whilst we can- it's not even that expensive any more since I'm not drinking so there's no bottle of wine on the bill! :p

Sorry you had a bad morning yesterday Con, hope there are no more sick-on-the-side-of-the-road incidents! :)

Lovely pic Jox, I'm feeling bigger but not really looking it. Definitely look pregnant (I hope!) but not as lovely bumpy as I'd like yet. :)

Hope you're feeling more comfortable today Kynthia, baby's just making him/herself comfortable in there and isn't thinking of Mummy's comfort! :)

One of my favourite bloggers announced her pregnancy yesterday and I got all teary for her... damn hormones! :o

Welcome Faith2009 :hello: Good to see you over on this thread now.

TL - glad your move went ok. It can be so stressful. At least you're in now and in plenty of time for Christmas. 4D scans freak me out a bit too but I get an extra normal scan at 34 wks cos I'm old!

Kynthia- great you don't have to worry now about redundancy. There's enough to be thinking about with a little one on the way :)

Birdie - :rotfl: sorry the image of you crouching and not able to get up. I'm the same. I think I forget that yes, I am pregnant and I can't just do what I used to.

Sjlou - I quite fancy pregnancy yoga. Might look to see if there are any classes near me. Mind you as per previous comment, could I get up again once I was on the floor? :p Plus I'd be a bit worried about losing some gas during the class :rotfl: I'm bad enough as it is at the moment and DH doesn't believe the baby is all to blame :o I've got my flu jab on Saturday. It's best to get ASAP if poss as there are a lot of nasty winter bugs going around already.

Lush- I can't remember the last time me and DH went on a date  we'll have to get something in the diary and get the in laws over to babysit. I want to go out to the theatre.

Con1888 - How embarrassing being sick on the road. I once had to get off a bus and was sick on the pavement. I wasn't even pregnant at the time and folk were looking at me like I was a pure jakey.

Jox - wow, your bump is big! I feel better now cos mine is pretty big too, mind you I think I'm behind you on dates.

Kynthia - it's great if you're fit to begin with - def helps cope with pregnancy. I was really fit while pregnant with DD1. Sadly that was a long time and a couple of stone ago :rotfl:

Hello to everyone else and the usual hugs to Claire for feeling yuk.

faith / kynthia The class I got to is run by nct, its not the cheapest but I guess yoga classes arnt most of the time.
I think its called stretch, relax and breathe.
Its not hardcore (I'm used to a fast moving ashtanga class normally!) but its tailored to us pg ladies! We use exercise balls some weeks, do pelvic floor exercises and finish every week with some fruit tea and cake!

    lovely bump pic jox!

con a few times I've nearly had to pull over to be sick on the long drive to work. I can imagine that wasn't your finest moment!
Although could be worse, a colleague of mine once had to drive back home before she got to work as she'd thrown up all over herself in the car!

lush might be worth giving the surgery a ring now rather than wait. I'm glad I did, otherwise I might not have got in till later in November.

    15+1

Thanks for saying nice things about my bump ladies, it's feeling / looking pretty big now....

Me and hubby kind of decided on a name last night but there's still time to change our minds!

Hope the sickness and yicky feelings are diminishing for everyone.

21 weeks today *happy dance* :)

    I've been Money Tipped!
Just a quick one... I've always worn heels to work (not stilettos though!). I'm on my feet from 7 until at least 5 (even thought teachers only work 9-3 ;) ) and I've noticed my feet are swollen at night. Is it time to ditch the heels?!

I ditched the heels as soon as I found out I was pregnant to guard against a sore back. Invest in some comfy shoes, not ballet flats, and raise your feet at night. Just one more glam pregnancy side effect :rotfl:
