So did my shopping yesterday. Only spent £27 and that included £8 for 2 new pillows for my bed.
Also used the £2 off a £20 spend coupon that I'd got when I went to Mr S for a couple of bits in the week.
I did however, manage to get over 4 hours marking done yesterday. Still more to do though sigh.
Today's list- Today I've sold a top on ebay for about a fiver inc postage. My old sky+ box has bids as well so that will sell too. - Packaged them up done
- Put on the DVD of Jeremy Kyle that I won when I went to a comedy night last week. Hope that sells too. done
- Will package up the DVDs that I sold to Music Magpie. Waiting for a cheque for the last lot that I sent last week. Didn't get a huge amount but at least they're not sitting around taking up space. done
- Check on car insurance renewal not done
I'm thinking about getting rid of some of my vinyl - I've got a load of old 70s and 80s RnB and soul funk LPs. I know a few of them are valuable. Will have to sort out where the best place is to take them. I've set up my usb turntable - given to me as a pressie 2 years ago. Just need the masters degree to know how to work it.
Welsh, we crossed posts. Just seen your news. Sorry to hear that. Sending you hugs
All updated, off for a bath0 -
Today, well....
[STRIKE] 1st washing on (about 3 more to go):(
Check bank accounts & spreadsheets
Take chicken out freezer for dinner tomorrow
Make apple & blackberry crumble (remembered to take these out freezer last night - apples from DM garden & blackberries were picked in the woods so all free:D)
Uni work (just can't get into this unit at all which is strange as it's something I'm quite interested in)
Tidy house & clean (DM coming for visit next week)[/STRIKE]
Tomorrow .....
[STRIKE] More uni work
More washing
Sort through freezer - have a horrible suspicion there's stuff lurking at the bottom that's been there for ages (never seem to sort this as things go in and disappear!)
Ensure house sparkling!
Roast chicken & veg for dinner
Make chicken stock[/STRIKE]
Make HM soup with stock
And.....
[STRIKE]Lots of walks with dog - cheers us both up and fabby, think it may be the beach today as a bit dull but quite warm.:D[/STRIKE]
Well, looks like everyone's had a successful weekend - it's funny how this thread keeps me hooked! If someone had said it, I'd have been "oh no" but it's fabby and really cheers me up! (I also really enjoy hearing what people have been up to, whether it's just everyday tasks or a wee trip out here & there).
List just about there - didn't get as much Uni work done as I'd have liked (have emailed my tutor as stuck), still have soup to make and forgot about the mountain of ironing I'd need to do after all that washing ...... unfortunately, still got earache too.:(
Congratulations to all who've managed their tasks, hugs to anyone who needs one. On with the ironing then I think it's going to be a soak in the bath and an early night.
Have a good week everyone, will try to catch up in the evenings (can't get on at work which is really frustrating)!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
2016 Sell: £125/£250
£1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000

YORKSHIRELASS wrote: »Hi all
Feeling a bit flat and de-motivated today so its quite nice to read about the things everyone else has achieved this weekend. Went for petrol last night and somehow ended up buying £4 worth of magazines for my boys, some doritos and a couple of other things which were completely unnecessary! Its just so easy to spend a tenner without thinking about it.
Today I have hung the washing out instead of using TD
Heating has just gone on for an hour but being really careful about it, we have oil heating and its costing a fortune.
Refused to buy food or drinks for sons at footie this morning, took drinks and snacks to last until we got home again. Smiled to myself when DS was eating his Tesco value crisps thinking that at one time I would have been embarrassed by people knowing I bought value stuff. Realised how much I have changed!!
:)Yorkshirelass, isn't that a wonderful lesson to learn!!! it really isn't about what other people think about us. Whats important I feel is knowing the choices we make, WE ARE HAPPY WITH THEM!! I love Tesco value crisps!!!

Hi everyone
Just back from a restaurant with OH. We forgot about club card/restaurant vouchers we got through before Christmas and we had no food in and it is the day before the day before pay day so the perfect excuse
Our change from our night out on Friday bought us a bottle of wine too so felt 'free'
Now watching some TV and knitting some baby stuff for my pal who's due in a couple of weeks:) Just called mum though and she managed to put a dampener on that  She said "Remember not to knit too much though - she won't use it anyway..." What?! A new baby born in February won't use bootees, mittens or a hat?!! Boo:(
I like your MSE task for tonight DNMS - all in the name of keeping the costs down of course

Just managed to get one last DFW task in....spoke to my friend earlier and said we'd go out for a snack in the week.....54 minutes left on a Groupon voucher for two burgers and sides for £6! That's our evening sorted!0
