Hi folks , been very busy this month and had to do a fair bit of spending. Bought a blood pressure monitor from tesco as I've been told if I don't get BP under control in next 2 weeks I will have to go on medication :( (I'm only in my early 40's). Bought a Lappy (went via quidco) as I'm going to be doing a lot of studying and have just paid for a course my work won't fund. However if I complete this course I have been promised bank work to do a job i would love and if it works out a permanent position in a better paid job, so its all an investment really :)

    Anyway today i have :
    • recieved £10 voucher in post
    • recieved freebie coffe in post (don't drink it myself but it will go in a pressie)
    • recieved freebie shampoo that will go on holiday with me
    • have requested coke zone voucher
    • done more surveys £3 pending and just short of £25 voucher
    • arranged to return a pair of shoes that were a bargain but don't fit well
Over the weekend I will :
    • make smoothies from bananas in freezer and cheap fruit from market
    • Eat healthily , am finally getting a degree of fitness back after 6 months of shocking health.
    • Do more surveys
    • raise a query with Quidco
    • List a few bits on ebid / ebay
    • heating off as much as possible
    • sort out stuff for charity shop / freecycle
    • think about balance transfers
    • update sig :(

Anyone on here collecting cravendale codes ? DD has gone dairy free so I've gone back to normal milk for myself and have a code I don't need. Will put it on the cravendale thread tommorow evening if nobody here wants it.

Keep up the good work everyone :)

Picasso - how do you freeze bananas? I always have too many and usually make banana loaf but love smoothies (and have a redundant smoothie maker lying on a shelf somewhere). Would be great to have something else to do with them!

Well, all I seem to have done so far is generate more washing -clothes set No 1 & cleaning bathroom. Put showerhead down in bath when it turned into an angry serpent snaking around all over the place. End result was that I and the whole bathroom were soaked. Had to change into clothes No 2.

Decided to take dog to woods as it was beautiful and sunny and had a fabby walk but it was very muddy. Came across a bit which was a total bog and couldn't find a way around (apart from backtracking and going up another route which would've been around another 2 miles) so picked my way through. Lunatic dog decided to have a ROLL in it..... then come and shake all over me......OMG....

Arrived home & put on clothes No 3 (which will end up in the hamper with the others once I've finished cleaning and had a bath). Have just about forgiven him (he's lying on the sofa looking all cute and can twist me round his paws!):D

So middle of the afternoon and will be onto my 4th set of clothes soon - not very DFW. Washing machine full (towels) and run out of hanging space already!

Not a lot ticked off my list yet, so better get busy! Enjoy your afternoon everyone!

    Lurker Alert! :D

Thought I'd put my 2 cents in!;)

    This weekend I have:

1.got dh to agree to selling clutter and things we wont/cant take when we move...no mean feat I can assure you!
2.sorted part of the garage into carboot/ebay/freecycle piles
3.vowed to use whats in the food cupboard before buying any more
4.changed pinecone payouts to paypal so I can download cash to bank account to then go on cc
5.downloaded paypal voucher from "my lightspeed" site for the same reason
6.put old drinking glasses into a bag to take to the bottle bank as they never sell at boot fairs

    I an going to:

1.sort through photo albums and get rid of albums, putting pics into a folder for easy moving
2.make soup for lunch boxes for the beginning of the week
3.file statements and bills away into folder
4.go through wardrobe and holdalls for clothes to sell/put in charity bags

Off now to escape from Star Wars on the telly!:rotfl:

All I do is peel and then halve or quarter and stick in a bag in freezer. Make great refreshing smoothies. As the smoothie maker is made to handle Ice it doesn't damage the blades putting them in frozen. Just had one , yummie :D I never ever waste a banana :)

Thanks for the banana tip Picasso2. I'd not thought of freezing them and using them frozen. I tend to just blend bananas and milk rather than full on smoothies. I've not done this for ages and now I want banana milk :o

If you still have the cravendale code I am one short (that is with several bottles in the fridge to use up :o) so if no-one else needs it I'd give it a home on my second plastic glass for using outdoors in the summer.

Today I resisted going shopping, but need to shop for food tomorrow (then DM rang and wanted me to get something from the shops which is a great idea for next month as a birthday pressie for a relative, but puts me in the danger zone of the supermarkets!).

I made potato wedges out of two spuds that needed using up, and made dinner with veg sausages on their use by date, then slightly wrecked the MSE element by breaking the freezer drawer as it was stuck so I yanked and then it cracked and split :(

    I also:
    * checked for surveys - mostly screened out today
    * paid uni fees with cashback CC
    * checked calendar for upcoming bills, insurances etc to ensure I know when I need to start doing the comparisons and shopping around
