Aha! It sounds like you should be calling the police and that it's the manager who has some questions to answer. This stinks to high heaven.milothewestie wrote: »i went home from work at 2pm
manager locked till away counted by himself at 8pm
in morning i recounted till it was £180 short
This is actually good - a wild allegation that's then withdrawn. Either they have the money or they don't. They then make another allegation after the failure of the first!...o riginally said i had pinched 800 pounds but they found all the rest so just sacked me for this 180 ...
A decent solicitor or a good union official should be able to destroy them.
That's a long time and more than a little odd. Were they incompetent or were they working out what to do?... suspended five days later ... sacked five weeks later ..."Never underestimate the mindless force of a government bureaucracyseeking to expand its power, dominion and budget"Jay Stanley, American Civil Liberties Union.0 -
Get down to CAB in the morning and get proper advise by people who know what they are talking about. you don't have long to log a claim with the tribunal so i would make this a priority.0

So they thought £980 was missing-which magically turned into £180 ........... I suggest you give ACAS a call on Monday morning for advice.
Don't contact anyone at the company before then.
And remove the mention of the company from your post so it can't be used against you-you really don't know who is reading here.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
What an accusation, I have nothing to say other than I wish you all the best in resolving the situation. I'd have been mortified if this had happened to me during my retail days. I hope they clear your name, it's outrageous. Good luck and hold your head up high, you've done nothing wrong.0

After 10 years service? In the current job market? I can't agree with that I'm afraid. Obviously I only have the OPs word for it that he/she didn't steal the money, but assuming he/she didn't then I don't think he/she should just accept his/her fate.0 -

Milo, are you male or female? No relevance to your dilemma but it makes it easier when we're posting, avoids all the he/she stuff.0
