I am surprised they havent had a massive fine for what some would call dodgy sales tactics.
surely they need evidence, otherwise they could virtually just sack anyone they wanted like this and get away with it,its unbelievable i loved my job and was good at it,not just that why would i take 180 pounds after 10 years if i was gonna steel which i never would it would surely be a bigger amount0 -

They do have to show reasonable cause to believe. A wild allegation based on the fact that you were one of half a dozen who could have done it simply won't do.
I notice that their cash handling procedures seem to be very sloppy, that's something that will be in your favour."Never underestimate the mindless force of a government bureaucracyseeking to expand its power, dominion and budget"Jay Stanley, American Civil Liberties Union.0 -

It depends what you got the sack for.
Counting or StealingNot Again0 -
To sack you fairly (in law) they only need reasonable grounds to suspect you have done something - this is nowhere near the criminal standard of proof - i.e. beyond a reasonable doubt.
3. It is worth noting that dismissals have been upheld even when somebody later managed to prove that they did not do whatever they were accused of. All that mattered was that it was reasonable for the firm to have held that belief at the time.
That sucks. They can sack someone with 10 years service just with "reasonable grounds to suspect". Doesn't seem fair to me.0 -

Where did they find the rest?
Was anybody with the manager when it was counted?
Was anybody with you when it was counted?
Any CCTV where you were counting?
What is the normal procedure for money handling at the end and the start of the day?
Did you usually count up in the morning alone? If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
