Hi Diary
Its been a while eh? A mixture of being busy, being a bit under the weather and having broke internet has kept me away! Feeling better now, got a few days off work and spent a while onthe phone to o2 this morning to get my connection fixed. Turns out after all these years my broadband box has been plugged into the worng socket and suddenly became a problem last week :rotfl:.
Condensed update:
- No longer going on holiday
for various reasons - Planning some treats with the refund :j:D
- Diet going OK, had a bit of an off week last week but back on it as of yesterday and will be heading for the gym soon
- I think Abu Dhabi is off, for now. This is my decision, I think I was going for the wrong reasons. I think it is more important to sort my life out here rather than running away as I'll only have to come back at some point anyway
- Totally over the ex stuff :j:j:j
- My cat has ran away
, shes been gone for over 2 weeks
:(
. I successfully grew some potatoes which are now in the fridge, I have some peppers growing at the moment too
.
Managing to get out and about but think its time I tried to find a guy friend. How do I do this??? Notice that when I'm out with the girls we end up just sitting at a table chatting, none of my friends are really into going out dancing etc. Feel a bit like a dog on heat at the moment :rotfl:.
Have a few plans for improvements to my flat, need new carpets/flooring throughout and wallpaper etc. Will have to start getting quotes soon. Hopefully my Dad will help me...
Found a ladies boxing class i might try out, think its on tomorrow. Still doing the JM DVDs and ordered another one, 6 week 6 pack. Theyre addictive
Oooh also looking forward to getting some new clothes, most of mine are too big now so I'm getting some new bits with my holiday refund. Yeay!
That'll do for now, sorry for any typos, I always notice loads afterwards x0 - No longer going on holiday

Now that's an update!!
If you think staying is better than Dubai then fair enough, it's good to make a decision than just going with the flow.
Your poor kitty! Hopefully it's like Mags skinny black cat and is being looked after by someone nice.
Good luck with the updating of the flat plans, my advise would be budged more than you think it will cost!0 -
Welcome back LB...glad to hear that you are feeling better too

Sounds like a few days break from here as given you plenty of thinking time and then making decisions as not going to Abu Dhabi, and doing up your place too. But I think your right about running away from things only to return and find that the problems are still there, as I have said before it will happen when the time is right for you to go. You might feel that once you have decorated your place that you don't want to go anymore.....especially why rent it out and let someone else benefit from it??
Sorry about the missing Kitty, I do hope that he/she turns up safe and sound.

great update! Sounds like lots of thinking has been done

I hope your poor cat turns up soon, how worrying for you
Great that you have made a decision on Abu Dhabi - I am with you on the running away thing. It sounds like financially it wouldn't have been as good as you initially hoped, and if it's not so worth it on the money front, it does make you think about what else you would get from it.
Also completely with you on the man front..... while we were waiting in the check in queue for our flight to Milan, some very VERY buff chaps with Team GB Athletics kit on were waiting a few rows ahead of us. It made me realise it has been far, far too long! :rotfl:   Nobody I recognised but it certainly brightened up the morning....and persuaded me I have to do something about the lack of man even if I am not quite ready for a relationship yet!
I'm similarly not quite sure how to go about it, but am not in a rush. going to try and make sure I am out and about as much as I can and being a bit more brave when brave is required!0
